so, i just wanted to know, is there a program or a website which allows you to make instrumentals?

don't worry, if i find out how to make them, i will make a bunch (mostly of aichin's songs!) and share them with you guys!

hmm, yeah, i think there's a program you can buy that lets you make them. Confused i've seen it on tv before, like, you add in different instruments, and write the music and stuff...it looks really cool, but i probably am too dumb to use it Tongue
if you find it, lemme know, cuz i could try and create some monstrosity to share with people Laughing

Hmmm, I'm not sure where you can get the instrumental programs but I would also like something like that. Smile

Unfortunately, I don't think that there are actually any good, free programs for creating instrumentals. I know that for Macs there are programs like Garage Band and Logic Express that you can use to record instruments, but they're not free (I'm not sure what the Microsoft-compatible equivalent is)
If you're just looking to remove the vocals from existing songs, I would suggest you go to Google and search for something like "Make your own Karaoke CD". There are programs out there for doing that, though I don't know how well they actually work.
Good luck figuring it out!

me and my cousin (mostly he) made a karaoke version of HOME MADE KAZOKU's "Thank You!!" on Garage Band. that was pretty hard, though. i wouldn't have been able to do it myself (he's the one playing all the guitar and keyboard, i just programmed a little).

Yeah- Garageband is pretty time consuming. I've been putting together some piano accompaniments and it took me at least an hour to cut together the pieces I needed for my song (although part of that is just because I make a lot of mistakes). It's still not as difficult as Logic Express though- that's a crazy program x.x
Making instrumentals from scratch is quite a bit harder than it sounds...

well my friend had a program "fruity loops" which he used to create some nice instrumental work. (they were originals, not from a song) however i tried it and it is complicated to get it all to work together for a nice tune, i suppose you will need a lot of practice. also that and the program is not free. (or not supposed to be...but there are ways...muahahah! yes i had it on my computer for a while for free, but it was too complicated so i probably uninstalled it)

I use Fruity Loops! I think it's really user friendly in comparison to other programmes but I have been using it for a few years now. If you fancy it you can check out some of my own music here http://www.myspace.com/fieldscarecrow

note: I don't use any of the preset sounds though, only sounds i've imported.

yeah, i'm downloading something, so i only got to listen to the first song, but i really like it!
you should let people add it to their profiles Nod it can help kinda "advertise" you, get more people into your music. Smile
how long does it take to make them anyway?
