either way it doesnt make me like ai otsuka any less, just because her sonds can sound similar to other songs... |

I think, one reason why they broke it up into sections of each song is because when they're combined, they dont sound similar. Only parts of the song do. However, most songs, in fact I saw on this program the other day, some music arranger or artist reckon that at least 1 third of the song contrains the same beats only placed in a different part of the song so it shouldn't be suprising that one song represents another.
That's what I personally think anyway. |

Coincidence. That was only parts of the songs. Some anti-Ai fan to have guts to put that. That's only parts of the songs, I hate it when people try to accuse others like that. |

Not this again.
Ask yourself, if you were a top artist in Japan, would you plagiarize so many of your songs? Even from other top artists like Mika Nakashima and aiko? No, I didn't think so. |

I agree with coincidence. Someone somewhere else had said, there are only so many melodies that sound good, and in general most songs contain several of those melodies (guitars and pianos utilize many of those melodies). Voice follow music often to show that voice can have such a range.
With regards to lyrics, I don't even find many of the comparisons similar, with the exception of maybe one or two sections where the lyrics are commonly used. |

A lot of artists seem to "copy" each other one part or another. The other day I was listening to A9, I'm pretty sure they didn't even know it when they wrote the song but it sounded kind of like an American song I heard, but I forgot. I'm sure they didn't even know that song existed. It's kind of hard I guess to make a song that exactly doesn't "copy" someone else's since there's so many out there! Many you don't even know exist and the chances of accidently writing the same notes here and there become slimmer.
And I never understood how people say Ai copied Mika Nakashima, but I don't know much about her anyways. |

I agree with you totally. They don't sound similar either. ._. It's only a coincidence, if you ask me. |

Here we go again.
If you want to read up on some more opinions on this subject, just do some searching through this section of the forum. I know we've had conversations about this before.
It's my opinion that you could take any artist out there today and do the exact same thing with their songs as this person has done with Ai. |

Some of them do sound very similar, but that's only because the person broke the songs into pieces. Of course there are many cases where within a song a few notes sound similar to a few notes from another song. If an entire song sound very similar to another song, I'm sure someone already sued AVEX or something.
The person who made this video obviously is just a aichin hater and has too much time on his hands. I mean, if you give me the time I can probably find similaries in any artist's song comparing them to others. |

| lol the yumekui comparison wasnt even legible. And inspiration to create music usually comes from listening to other songs, life experiences, or whatever. Similarities can't be helped, but it's extreme to call it plagiarism. |

Well maybe these songs gave Ai inspiration. Who knows? But still, coincidence? Taking a word out of davedim's book. |
