Hello guys. You guys need to create more chat topics, honestly! The news section, afterall, is a news section!
Anyhow, what do you guys think about Ai am BEST? I can safely say almost everyone is quite shocked by the tracklist. It only spans 13 tracks, and other avex artists, who after 3 studio albums had BEST's that spanned at least 16 tracks.
Will you guys buy it? I can totally understand if some fans didn't buy it, because it certainly is not an attractive purchase at all. I'm going to buy it just for the sake of being an Ai fan (and the first press  ) but I know in my head the audio/video media alone is very very lacking and I have to say I am not happy really.
It's just not worth it. It's missing the previous four singles damn it, and there's absolutely nothing new. The only 'half-new' thing on it is the full PV of Friends ~sabakan vers.~. I wouldn't complain either if Ai re-sang some of the songs.
Personally, I'd rather this release be a remix album rather than a BEST, if avex must insist in pushing that 4th studio album back. It's just too premature for a BEST, and it shows by the paltry 13 -song tracklist, and a remix album would be refreshing and new for Ai fans, even if it would be a charting disaster. |

I will buy it and of course I think it's worth it. Cos if I buy this CD/DVD, this will be my first ever Ai CD/DVD. HDF has a good point there but I think avex is just showing Ai's best work really. It's called BEST of right? Remixes would've been well preferred but yeah, this is better than buying all of Ai's older singles which are probably $10 i don't know. So that's my opinion.

I know for a lot of people it isn't really worth it because you already own all of her CD + DVD singles so you aren't really getting anything new by picking this up. Me on the other hand, I don't have any of those so be picking this up I can save some cash by only buying the CD versions of the singles. Hurray! I'm really excited for this!  |

i am largely in jester's boat. so far i have renai shashin and also planetarium and love cook should be arriving in a few days, but otherwise most of this i dont have so this is a good deal for me. but i can see why everyone else would say this is not a good deal and one day when i have completed my ai collection i will be in your shoes.
anyway about my music collection. i never use it. most cds stay in the original packaging and are there just for me to feel happy i have supported my favorite artists. therefore...whether or not the tracklist is awesome or total crap. it doesn't matter. hell people could even just sell me CD cases and the appropriate booklets/pictures on the outside missing the CD on the inside and i won't find out. or they can remix a few tracks and rerelease it and i'd still buy and feel it was a good deal. long story short it is not the money nor the material that matters, but the fact that i support the artists i love and care so much for. plus looking at my collection just makes me feel awesome. |

| I bought Ai otsuka's albums before, and with that, I don't quite think it's worth the money to buy something that you already have. |

I guess. If I was a first-time Ai buyer I'd still be a lil but annoyed about missing the previous four singles.......
But for people who have a lot of Ai's stuff, this is such a rip off imo. |

I have all her albums but not all her singles. It'll be a nice CD to listen to and the DVD is just great.  I like having all those PVs together on one disc. I already pre-ordered and am looking forward to the release.  |

I think the price is alright but still, i'm buying it just like HDF has said b4, the sake of being an Ai Fan~ atm, i got 19 Ai CD/DVD's (still missing 3 singles, the movie and the drama copies) so i'll get Ai am BEST just to be in my collection~ But i guess i won't be opening it since everythign inside i have them already~  |

Im gonna buy it as I dont own any of her singles or albums...but have all her songs on the computer  I like all the songs on the tracklist and I also want to own the pvs too...so I will buy it. Still dont know if I should get japan version or overseas. |

I will probally most likely buy this since as some of you listed, first press. I love first press, and it is a pain in the butt when local online stores sell out since next would have to be those expensive yahoo jp auctions. 
Even tho I don't have much of Ai's single's + DVD combo's, I don't think it's worth it. It's great to have all her previous stuff in one disc (or 2) but nothing new? No extra dvd content? The only things I really have to look foward to is the limited edition and the pictures. .... |

| Personally, I don't really think this is worth it. However, I recently converted a friend into an Ai-friend, so I'm thinking of buying this for her for her upcoming birthday! So I guess it's worth it in a way too, for people new to Ai's music. |

| Well for us western fans, we don't give this much importance because there's no new material or anything but Japanese seem to love these and also first time fans. Anyhow I think how worth it Ai am BEST shall be really depends on the artwork and the first press extra. If there's something really special I think this compilation will be worth it's money. |
