IE7 might be nice and added tab support, but the reason I use Firefox is no longer tab browsing, but also the powerful extension you can download to enhance Firefox functionality.

I just counted and I have 16 extensions installed for my Firefox. A lot of them are really useful such as Adblock which block out most of the annoying advertisement. I also have mouse gesture which I can't live without now. Then there's East Asian Translator (very useful for Japanese site, one click translation), CustomizeGoogle (add link to other search engine for a search query), Forecastfox (give you forecast lol) and SearchStatus (display alexa ranking and Google page rank for a site, very useful for webmasters and site comparison)

Here's a list of "Best Firefox Extensions" written by CNET, I don't agree with all of them but this does give you some idea what some extension is capable of.

I use Firefox, but I haven't tried Opera. Anyone here like Opera? What's it like for browsing?

Well in fact I'm using all of them at the same time. Cause every browser has its own preferences.
However, I like Opera most. It seems most comfertable to me.

I haven't tried opera but between Mozilla and Explorer I prefer Mozilla. Mainly because I really like the tab browsing feature. My brother's in love with his gestures but I never got around to getting them.

Wow, I used to use Firefox simply because my computer programming dad is so worried about malicious files but after watching that hilarious video that Son_of_Sun posted I decided to give that site a shot.

After downloading the newest version of Firefox I decided to see what the hub-bub was about some of these newer extensions. Well, there amazing! It's probably been said about a million times in this thread but it really does allow you totally customize your browser to your wants and needs. Right now I'm running the following extensions:

+ Adblock (helps block troublesome pop-ups and ads)
+ Tab Mix Plus (allows you even greater control over tab-browsing)
+ Fasterfox (supposedly amps up your web surfing speed, seems to work surprisingly)
+ Reveal (amazing tab viewing dohickey!)

Oh, and I also acquired the Qute theme. It's awesome too! (and highly recommended)

Edit: I guess eyn's already ellaborated on some of this stuff. Sorry for the semi-double post.

I'm personally a major fan of Firefox. Presently finishing off my first year at college, and comming into this place, everyone I knew (at least the minority PC users) were living off of IE... I'm glad to say I've converted enough of them Giggle

Im using firefox at the moment.

I tried Opera; its good, but I didn't like how I couldn't use my extensions. So I just went back to firefox.

Firefox is good on Windows, but it crashes a lot on Mac. But still its better than IE Nod

I've been using Firefox for a long time. The most useful thing is tabbed browsing and I love it when I find a new extension that makes something simple even simpler. Built in Winamp controls are the best thing ever! Smile
