yeah, but you gotta admit. the better looking the singer the more sales.
Imagine if KATTUN werent handsome! they probably wouldnt make many sales...their songs arent THAT great. signal was ok though....
and youre right about the chorus! like nana's 悲しみのキズ would suck without the chorus, |

Yeah, I agree...
Like 50% of KAT-TUN's videos are Kame,
49% are Jin, and 1% is the other members, lol.
(Actually I hated signal but I like a couple of their songs).
Or like for Yamashita "Daite Senorita".
A lot of people thought it was bad at first, but then everyone was struck by the chorus! |

Oh man...
Sorry for getting off topic...
But the exact same for me!
Except I like Nakamaru a bit more than Ueda, but I'm also quite fond of Koki and Ueda!! |

The music is more important than the voice it tunes our mind to the emotion of a song which I think is the most important. The Music plays a greater importance, as it must be equal to the emotion of which the singer & songwriter is trying to convey too the listener.
So what i'm trying to say is the writing is the base of the song, while the vocals are what structure a song, which finally the music defines what the songwriter is wanting to express with the lyrics. |

My opinion: many things contribute to make song nice, all are important:
(1) voice and emotion of singer
(2) music, musical instruments and skill of players
(3) melody
(4) lyrics
(5) very important: attitude of listener! |

The voice, the music, the lyrics, the person.

| The voice of the singer is the most important thing (of course haha). In my opinion, the backround music is the second most important, while the lyrics comes in a close third. I know appearance is a still an important part for sales, but you can have a real pretty/handsome person, but not be able to sing at all (making the song bad). |

it's a difficult choice between voice and background music. anyway i chose voice. background music can be made or goofed with freely. but a voice is something unique to the singer. in this way i feel the voice makes a song more special than any background music could.
plus this is the main deciding factor when i decide which artist i decide to follow or not follow. often when i discover a good artist it is because i feel their voice fits very well with the song and makes me feel all the intended emotion they had when they sang. not every artist can do this for me so i think it is the voice that matters more than the instruments. |
