Sorry for the delay, I've been very busy with my university stuff. I'm very glad that we have 14 entries this time, I was hoping for 15 or more but 14 is good enough. The quality of the entries this time is very high as well, I'm sure you guys will be amazed but how well some of our members can actually sing. Surprised

Same as last year's voting, I really hope you guys can listen to every single entry before voting. Every contestant has spent a lot of effort into their recording so please be fair to all of them. It definitely take less time to listen to every single entry compared to actually recording one, so please show your support by listening to all of them and voting for the best karaoke entry. Nod

* Please be fair and only vote for the best entry, not the entry by your friend *

The poll will be opened for 1 week, which I might extend if we don't have enough votes. Don't rush it and spend your time enjoying each entry before making your judgment. btw, only members with 5 posts or above are allowed to vote. Contestants are encouraged to vote as well but please don't vote for yourself.

Here's the entry for this year's karaoke contests:

Enjoy! Boogie

The prize for the winner will be both CD and CD+DVD version of Ai-chin's upcoming 14th single "CHU-LIP". Please find the prize its worthy owner.

You are highly encouraged to post your review on each of the tracks but please be kind as all contestants really put their heart into the recording. Love

I really enjoyed number 8. She had strong vocals and was a bit reminiscent of Hamasaki Ayumi. The only thing wrong was the mic but I don't think that's necessarily her fault.

I voted for entry 9 - I love the guitar, and the singer, although male, was quite good! Creativity = <3. Yayay! Good luck, everyone! ^_~

This year is really great! Lots of fun listening to these entries. Meow
I wrote comments for each one. Note that I'm a mean and sarcastic person in general, but for Ch-ai, I wrote these nice and constructive without sugarcoating. Meow I'm no singing expert but hope the contestants find these helpful. <3

Entry 1: Aw you have a nice voice~ Sometimes you're not with the music, but the most is okay. Your pitch is pretty good. The "zutto" parts and some high parts seemed a little shaky. the "te" of "koishikute" sounds a little weird/off key sometimes.

Entry 2: Your voice is a little weak in the high parts. At one part you went a little off, but rest is all good. A little bit off key sometimes, overall very good pitch and tempo. >u<~ You chose a great song~ You sang the song well overall~ Lots of feelings.

Entry 3: You have a good voice and range~ But you should really try to put more emotion into your singing; the song sounds a bit flat and tired somehow. Sometimes your voice is too quiet, try singing louder so you bring it out more, your have a nice voice~ Overall you're on time and on key, good job. ~u~

Entry 4: Try get rid of the random/shuffling and breathing sound in the song. x[]x; Your voice is a bit drowned out by the music, sing louder with more emotion~ You have a good voice and pitch, show it! x3

Entry 5: You're sometimes off key. You almost whispered for the begining, making your voice really shaky. x_x; Try singing further from your mic or adjust the volume with a program afterwards if you want your voice to be softer/weaker. Overall I think you pull it off well~ It's hard for a male to sing an Aichin song, so good job~

Entry 6: You chose one of my favourite song. Your voice is..... so dragged and tired and flat. You're very off pitch it`s scary.... Try listening to Aichin`s song more and practice, most importantly listen to your own singing and compare with Aichin`s so you know how you can improve.

Entry 7: Another male contestant~ You're very off key, but your timing is good. Sometimes your voice is totally drowned by the music, amplify it more~

Entry 8: Your voice is nice and unique~ Wink I like how you put your own flavour into the song. <3 You should try covering your mic with a spongy material or sing further away from it because sometimes there's breathing sound, static (from being too close/too loud) etc. Your voice range is great, and you're always on time~ Very good job! <3

Entry 9: Guitar~ Very nice background, unique and mellow. <3 Your voice is really cool, all laid back and relaxing. Really nice singing!~ On key and lots of emotion/highs and lows. You're male but you made the song fit you so well. <3 Love the pause in the middle~

Entry 10: You're pretty on key and very with tempo~ Good job. Sometime your voice is too quiet, overall it's very good~

Entry 11: Your voice is pretty~ You're off key sometimes, but overall you're okay. Your high notes are shaky, but I know they are difficult.

Entry 12: Nice soft voice~ This is a hard song to sing, overall you did well. The overlap voice doesn't seem so good though... The singing is shaky, not a good vibration, a bit off key, sounds like a ghost hovering your head and singing. x___x;;; I think the concept is good, but it should've been applied more.. "right." I don't even know how to overlap voices, so I'll shut up about it. ^^;;; Overall you did really well~

Entry 13: I like your voice, nice and clear. A bit off key at places, and the high notes are tricky. I think you did fine~ Very with tempo and everything. Smile

Entry 14: Is that you playing piano? x3 It's nice~ The sound quality is very bad though, very blurry sound, background noise and all that (I hear whistles in the background?!). @_@; But I guess sometimes those can't be helped. Your singing is nice~ Sometimes a bit chopped off, like stopping between verses, etc. but overall it's sweet.

I was quite late but I got here right now, right? Hehe, I'm downloading the whole songs, this will take a while though. I'm expecting good talents guys!! Boogie

I'll share a few opinions, just on a bit.

Entry 8: Wow, you have a amazing voice. Abit of slips there, but you are really great! Yumekui is one of my favourite songs and I'm glad you've done it well.

Entry 9: I was thinking, how could you do Haneari Tamango if you have no official instrumental, but you did this thing by yourself. That is really talented, a acoustic version is really good, especially for your voice. Great work!

As for the ohers, your work is very appreciated, we all tried very hard right? Keep everything up and always aim for the best ok??? This rar. file is worth downloading, thank you very much fellow contestants!! Boogie

congratulations on getting 14 entries!
after listening to all the entrants, all i can say is WOW!
i was surprised to hear a lot of male singers!
great job everyone! : )

entry 1: you have a nice voice. : ) there are some parts when your voice doesn't go along with the music, but at the same time, it didn't ruin the song. (if that makes sense?) overall, nice singing! Smile

entry 2: your voice is really sweet sounding! fits with the music very well! there are parts where your singing is slower than the music, but it wasn't too noticable. great singing! my favorite part was the verse towards the end. Giggle

entry 3: your voice is really nice also! your timing and pitch is right on! maybe adding a bit more emotion? you also kinda stopped abruptly on the long note "anata no yugaou~", but i'm sure it is hard for anyone to hold a long note (i know for me it is!) overall i really liked your singing! keep it up!

entry 4: your pitch in the song is superb! i thought your singing was good. as above, maybe adding some more emotion. Smile good job!

entry 5: your voice is also nice! your voice is soft in some parts, and sometimes loud in others. maybe try to keep your tone consistant. Smile great singing!

entry 7: good job! your voice was also soft & loud in some parts. it sounded like sometimes your voice was heard in the left speaker, then right, then left? maybe it was your recording program thing. (ah, i'm suppose to comment on singing, sorry!) your pitch was off sometimes, but i think you did a good job! Smile

entry 8: your voice is so unique! i remember your voice from the last contest. ^_^ really nice singing, and you were really consistant with your singing! beautifully done. Smile your voice also goes well with this song. (i know some people have already said this, but your voice reminds me of ayumi hamasaki : D~)

entry 9: all i can say is . . wow. amazing! i love the guitar . . and your voice fits sooo well with this song. Smile your voice sort of reminds me of gotoh from ajikan. i'm not sure what else to say. you are simply amazing. <3

entry 10: nice vocals! your tempo was right on, and very consistant pitch. your a bit shaky on some notes, but overall it was good! keep on singing!

entry 11: your voice fits this song as well. : ) really nice sounding. although your voice was shaky, i kinda liked it that way. with this song, it was kinda like you were crying while singing (no offense! the song "tears" and crying went together. i thought it was nice and added a lot of emotion, intentionally or not). great job! i really liked your singing!

entry 12: i really liked your soft voice. : ) it went well with the song. i liked the . . what's it called . . the second voice? (sorry, i'm a singing n00b). it was a really nice effect! i also liked the fact that you could hold the note! good emotion, and verry well put together! fantastic job!

entry 13: your voice is so cute!!! <3 i liked your singing. you were very consistant with the song. your pitch is a little loud in some spots, but overall it was great! keep it up!

entry 14: are you playing the piano? :O really nicely executed! your voice is nice, and goes well with the song. pitch is good too. i wish your voice was a bit louder though. : ( the piano was a bit louder than your voice, but i'm still glad we were able to hear it. : ) well done!

ah. good job everyone! i'm sure you worked really hard!
keep up the good work!

i've listened to all the contestants now, and i have to say i like entry 2 and 9 best.

nr 2's voice was really nice, and it reminded of ai-chin's. on pitch and all that. great job! Giggle

i was impressed by nr 9's singing and guitar playing. very talented. Nod

i liked nr 14 too, though it wasn't really the greatest quality on the recording. the high tone in the end was kinda off though, and you cut of the tones too early, you should've held some of them longer. otherwise, great job. and i'm jealous of your piano playing. Tongue

i'm just wondering... why was contestant nr 6 disqualified? Confused

i'll rate the rest when i have time...

i don't wan to criticize too much on entry 6, but it seemed their voice was a bit monotone & tired sounding, and still managed to get 7% of votes. (sorry if i offended you, entrant 6! Sad ) though, i did think that it sounded pretty cool in it's unique way. : )

i think their entry is still in the .zip file? (am i allowed to say this? Confused )
