The HK Edition for the Ai am Best DVD is avaliable for pre order through HMV HK.
http://www.hmv.com.hk/product/japanese.asp?sku=74655
It costs HK175 and it's the special 2 DVD edition. HMV lists it as limited edition so my guess is that it comes with the same Photobook as the Japanese Edition. It will be released on 12 Oct |

I saw this a few days ago, it was super awsome. Watching Ai's concerts is seriously the best for me. She really knows how to work a crowd. Her excitement fills the stage and even reached me, who's sitting in front of a computer screen.
Really awsome. |

just finished watching this concert. very impressive. again. as usual.
i was worried at the very beginning during Yumekui. her singing sounded strained in a few spots and i thought "oh no, is she going to sing like this all the way through?" but it was only in that song. now i wonder if there was some slight audio problem that was quickly fixed.
when Biidama started, i didnt even realise what it was i was listening to. i like the idea of different arrangements to old songs. even if they dont work, it is good to try. but these ones did.
it seemed to me there was a bit more pre-recorded vocals used this time, which is my one main gripe with her lives. it looked like her vocals for the main chant in the song Pon Pon (one of my favourite songs. could you guess? ) were pre-recorded. i will look again more closely the next time i watch.
i guess CHU-LIP as a concert centre-piece makes sense. not her strongest song, but one with striking visuals and crowd involvement. anyway, i much prefer the CHU-LIP dancers to the original SMILY dancers!
overall, a very commanding performance. you really have to admire her poise and confidence. she looks to be in total control, and just simply enjoying herself.
---
when the credits rolled, i heard something new - LOVE MUSiC (Instrumental), so i ripped it from the DVD and uploaded it.

| Yeah I ripped the LOVE MUSiC Instrumental when I heard it on the DVD. Pity it's not the full version though. |

yes, you are right about the length HilaryDuffFanboy. it is 3:14 which is the length of the short PV version.
there was some applause at the start, so i removed it by using a few seconds of the intro from the CD singing version. i think i did it ok, because i cannot tell where the join is now. |

The only thing that left a mark on me was her Renai Shashin performance. I must say, some of her other performances for this song have been quite atrocious and I expected this one to be good. And it was. Twas very good, twas almost perfect. Yes, I loved it, imperfections and all. It was great that she decided to do a piano solo for this song, her piano solos were always good, if not the best performances. I reckons..
Didn't really see the second half much but the mood sure changed. Might actually watch it all some time.
When she started singing Biidama I didn't recognize it till about a minute or so in, the mood and..everything..was so different when its been jazzed up. A good change, but preferable, hard to say.
I reckon it would have worked better if the venue was some kind of jazz bar or saaay my room with the lights dimmed. It just didn't feel right when it was performed like that on the stage, I dunno...
Maybe its just not to my preference, but a good effort nonetheless.
Somehow, I like the Love Cook 06 tour better. The mood seemed to feel more powerful and yeah I liked it. Thats about all I can say at the moment.
Yet to watch the bonus DVD, seems quite worth it.
(I think I wrote a review) |

just watched this recently too. And it seems like an extra long performance lol and yea, when biidama started i was like "huh, did they made a mistake in the setlist on the dvd" rofl, though i must say the jazz versions of biidama and kuroge was surprisingly nice. The hyperness at the end looks really fun and the encore was just madness (who was that guy that got randomly dragged out with the troupe during chu-lip? ikoman? lol)
and the bonus dvd, omg if you didnt get it, im sure you'll regret. Not just showing backstage stuffs, but actually lots of other things that happened during the whole tour. (Ai-chin goes bowling, etc) Its so damn funny, my jaw hurts after watching it LOL (roflmao @ the robber prank, omg >< ) |

last night, Otsuka Ai became my 2'nd favorite artist of all time (after Ayu). I recieved my Ai Am Best 2007 2DVD first press...and my oppinion of Ai improved alot. I liked her tons before...but now, I see her as someone very special and rare. That concert was beautiful, passionate, emotional, and a fine display of talent --- not to mention, VERY FUN! Ai's voice was perfect all the way through and she didn't hit a bad note all night. She was so cute & goofy too! ^___________^ i love it so much...made me extremely happy afterwards...laughed alot at the bonus extras on the 2'nd DVD especially.
I hope every Ai fan will buy it because no collection should be without it!!! I'm watching it again tomorrow with my family! They'll love her too. The 2DVD edition is a MUUUST! tehehe. |

best line of the tour dvd from what i've seen/heard so far:
"okayyy!... PEACH!!!"
so kawaii~~
this tour really has a different feel from the LOVE COOK Tour.
one could argue that it's less emotionally powerful, but it's also definitely brighter and more cheery, which is something we all need sometimes! |
