My father is attempting to make nián gāo... "Attempting" is the main word. It's completely chaotic, sticky rice flour flying everywhere... Good thing we've gotten used to it... New Year's at our house is aways... interesting, to say the least. Pray for my health!  |

新年快乐!
I had my big feast on Thursday cause everyone[in my family] was not busy.
I hear a lot of fire crackers......like right now...
I decorated my house...and helped clean the house yesterday....very tiring....
There's gonna be a parade this Saturday at Chinatown.

happy chinese new year everyone! spent all day helping my relatives with the cooking AND washing dishes! BUT, did get a lot of "red pockets", so no complain here. 
ate too much, should have gone on a diet before last night....couldn't resist all the food in front of me. all the dessert last night were awesome! too bad the new year fell in on a sunday, or else I could have an excuse to leave home early from work!  |
