キミにカエル。 - Returning to You -
Romaji:

futari no me ga onnaji moyoude
atarashi me no nioi

umaku yareru yo, ima nara. sou ieru

Translation:
As I awaken from my sleep, I see an image that starts to move
The pupils of our eyes have the same pattern
It's the smell of a new bud
It ends, it starts...once more, I'm returning (to you)
As the snow accumulates, so do these pent-up feelings
When will they unravel, positively shining?
"Right now, you can do good," you said
A lost kiss will one day return to you
As the warmth leaves, my toes become cold
The two of us, our skin holds the same pattern
I open up a new eye
A single season once again returns
I shake hands with the last snowfall
"It's going to be okay," these words are shining with light
"Right now, you can do good," you said
A lost kiss will one day return to you
As the snow accumulates, so do these pent-up feelings
When will they unravel, positively shining?
"Right now, you can do good," you said
A lost kiss will one day return to you
I see a heart being delivered
I start to point out that single flower; you gave it to me once you returned
Note: The "I/you" can be used interchangeably here, as it's common in Japanese not to use "I" and "You" in conversation, but simply the nouns and verbs themselves. Therefore, anywhere that says something like "you said" can possibly be "I said" or "it said".

Watch as I get this TOTALLY WRONG. Lol, but here I go:
Ai Otsuka - Kimi ni Kaeru (Returning to You)
As I awaken from my sleep, I see an image that starts to move
Not the best translation ever, but hopefully it gives people a basic comprehension of the song |

Thanks for the lyrics punito and for your translation, Nami! I'm pretty sure they are not as bad as they made them out to be! And anyway, I can understand the lyrics pretty much, so they are good! At least now I know kaeru really means returning and not frog now.
This is such a winter feeling song! With all the references to snow and stuff. The lyrics are really sweet though. Makes me feel all warm inside while I listen to the song reading the lyrics! |

Thanks for the lyrics and translation, Punito and Nami!
That's ok if it's not the best translation, it's better than what I can do, and it's definitely better than nothing!
So thank you so much!
Though the idea of a froggy song is really cute... |

Actually, I'm not quite sure whether or not it could be about a frog. My first thought upon reading "kaeru" was "return"; however, it's in katakana, so it could mean frog. The "return" version of "kaeru" is usually 帰る; maybe the katakana is a creative form of typography from Ai? If it were about frogs, then it'd be "The Frog On/In You", which sounds interesting XD
Let's hope someone else tries to translate this soon! |

i'm almost positive it's "return". --> "i'll return to you" "return to you"
The kanji in the song lyrics is "還る." Japanese use katakana as a stylish way of emphasis sometimes and not necessarily exclusively for "all things foreigh."
Not sure if that was a good explanation or not...
Also, "frog" doesn't make much sense in that context. |

Thanks for the translation. Now I like the song better knowing its meaning.
And it shouldn't be frog. Interesting but not that touching. - -" |
