One sleepy morning on my way to my usual boring workplace, I picked up a Chinese free daily newspaper and read it since I had sometime before I started work. I was so surprised when I saw Ai-chan's name at the Japanese entertainment news section. Being an eager Ai fan, I carried on reading the article although I hated reading Chinese so much. 
To my horror, it was a gossip regarding Ai's and Ayumi's love lives. It stated that it's rumoured that Ayumi and her beau, Tomoya Nagase, broke off recently, and it is due to a third party, which is our poor Ai-chan. It's said that the relationship between Ayumi and Tomoya strained quite sometime back and Ai-chan wasted no time to step into the picture to get into a relationship with Tomoya.
Is this true? I hope not, cos' Ai-chan isn't such a opportunist.  Maybe the tabloid blew things up? Maybe she does like Tomoya but the way she tried to win his heart isn't that opportunistic as reported. It's not a sin to like someone, is it? Anybody who knows any better, pls clarify this piece of news. Sobzzz...  |

its sounds more like to me that you your self are putting her under a negative light.
Heck, if she took away Tomoya, yay! now shes pinned down a guy, and hes not that bad looking(sorta). poor ayumi though.
But the rumours are prolly fake. i didnt find anything to support it, and furthermore, i dont think ai's that mean. |

i think it is fake.. there is no other support to that news from Japanese sources at all.. i feel that they have nothing to write so that is what they come up with..
ai and ayu both are nice people.. i don't think they will do such a thing to one another..
just my two cents of opinion |

| Tabloids love mentioning how Ayu and Tomoya have broken up. This has gone for years and honestly has become kinda annoying. However we always see them together in their summer vacation.. Also I'm sure Ayu's latest song "part of Me" was dedicated to him. |

I didn't even know that Ayu dated Nagase, hahaha.
I don't think it's true, just imagine Ai... lol, it gives me the laughs. It's kind of like for Ai's pvs, a lot of people who don't really know what they're saying and say false information about stuff like in Daisukidayo that it's "ai's boyfriend who died, these are their videos and pictures before his death" and stuff like that then like, fourty other people watch the video and don't know what they're saying either and then everyone who watches the video thinks that, when it's not true, and somehow the person who started it got some idea that wasn't true at all. |

^ Haha, I like to think that my comment set that thing straight though,  Remember how they set up a camera 50 feet back so they could videotape themselves watching CGI shooting stars in the sky, lol?
Yeah, these gossip things are usually not true.
Oh, and plus I read somewhere that Ai respects Ayu a lot, and if you really respected someone, would you steal their boyfriend? I don't think so.
Though "Ai the boyfriend stealer" has a nice ring to it. I'm just kidding! 
But anyway, I don't think this is true.
They're just bored and like to mess with people's minds. |

Why would I, in the right mind, would want to put Ai in a negative light? She's the only singer I respect and idolize from Japan and the only singer I can openly admit that I'm a fanboy of. I was juz quoting the newspaper. Sry to anyone who misintepreted my intentions.
I think some peeps misintepreted the gossip as well. It's not so much of Ai 'blatantly pursuing Tomoya despite Ayu's relationship with him'. But rather, a strained relationship between the two (break-up?) prompted Ai to pursue her love life. It's not that inherently wrong in this sense.
Yea, those gossips are usually not true. The only thing that takes me aback is that the newspaper catered to the average serious busy wage earner, not some tabloid newspaper targetted at the teenyboopers. But I guess they got their information wrong somewhere. Ai will always be my favourite idol no matter what!  |

| well, I think the rumour is pretty funny. like out of nowhere the report that ai took nagase...with no evidences or what so ever. I've learned not to believe the chinese newspaper anymore regarding these rumours. |

| Well, the time frame is pretty important. If Ai chased Tomoya after he allegedly broke off with Ayu, it's nothing wrong IMO. Seems like nobody heard any rumor of this sort. Any more well-informed Jpop scene follower knows any better, pls do update everyone here. |

Hm...
I definitely think that this is a made up rumor.
I haven't heard anything from the Japanese press about it and I'm sure that news like this would spread like wildfire in Japan before it reached the ears of the Chinese tabloids. |

I haven't heard anything from the Japanese press about it and I'm sure that news like this would spread like wildfire in Japan before it reached the ears of the Chinese tabloids.
And mainichi confirms the 2 still go out together. i dont know what tabloids try to accomplish by making up.....stuff. |

Well, tabloids tend to get creative when it comes to Ayu/Tomoya. No biggie, things like this happened to celebrities.
*shrugs* Ai's a celebrity, rumors like this will happen, and there will only be more to come. |
