You're so lucky. I'm so jealous. Someday I'll go to her concert. |

| Hi, Lilithia! I will be in Japan three weeks! First week in Yamaguchi Prefecture, visit to my relatives, I have not seen them since they sent me to live in USA, 13 years ago. Then I will be two weeks in Tokyo to visit my new friends I met last year, they live and work in that city. I have been in Tokyo only once before when I was very young, this is very exciting visit too! I am very excited and also kind of scared because my Japanese language skills are now very poor, I have not spoken this language daily for half my life! and I think I will make many silly mistakes for talking to people and for reading. Anyway, this cannot be helped now, I cannot improve so much before May 11 when my plane leaves LA. |

^ Well it's fantastic you're going to see relatives & return to a country you haven't been to in years! I myself haven't been overseas in 10 years, so I hope to go to Japan next year! I'm only sad I am not going this year because I cannot go to Ai's Ai Am Best Tour!!
Also I'm sure you'll go crazy buying lots of souvenirs & stuff to take back home! Make sure you bring an extra bag so you have something to carry all your souvenirs back in lol!!!
Make sure you come back & let us know {more so me LOL} how you're doing & how you're enjoying your stay! I also hope to hear plenty of feedback on Ai's concert!!
Is this your first time seeing her live? |

Hi, Lilithia! I have never attended concert from any Japanese entertainer, this will be very first experience! Such experience is much better when sharing with new friend, too! If you visit to Japan next year, I think Otsuka will make another tour, yes? this is regular job of all entertainers, so you will attend her concert sometime in your future!
Your advice is very good, I will bring one large rolling suitcase only 1/2 filled with clothes! Maybe I shall purchase clothes in some cool Tokyo neighborhood, yes?! and I will bring gifts for aunt and uncle too! and cousins. Anyway leaving tomorrow AM! today is last work day for over three weeks! Yay!
P.S. Are you working now? are you attending university? Your web site is very beautiful. |

Oh, you're so lucky! I was planning to go to the concert, at one of the Tokyo venues - the only problem was the friend I was going to stay with is completely busy with classes and teaching practice. I'll be heading to Japan most likely in August for two weeks or so - so my chances of getting to see Ai-chin would be down to 1. random chance of seeing her out in public, or 2. if she comes on some variety/talk show and I get audience tickets. Haha, like other people have said, meeting/seeing her is one of the things I have to do in this lifetime! |
