 Yes well I'll be going to my second anime convention soon and I will be cos-playing as Kairi from Kingdom Hearts 2  ! After working out a few kinks in my outfit... 
I was wondering if anyone else cos-plays or goes to conventions  ?
I thought it would be fun if we could share experiences and pictures of our outfits and so forth!  |

| I will never go to an Anime Convention for anything other than performing in the singing competitions...b/c I wanna be a singer. But yeah, I've worn cosplay outfits -n- I own a few! ^_^ They're soooo beautiful |

| I never had enough determination to do anything like that. Though there was a time when I had some interest in anime and video gaming, and I did once consider what sort of role I'd take on if I ever tried. With my build and hair length I could've pulled off Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh or Squall from FFVIII. |

I absolutely love cosplaying. Next year will be my 4th year doing it. I've only gotten a local convention 3yrs ago 
The first year I cosplayed as Kagura from Azumanga Daioh, Kitano Yukiko from Battle Royale, and I just wore a winter seifuku. 2nd year I cosplayed as Nevada-tan, a made-up character based on Naruto, and then just wore a Japanese style maid outfit. This past year I cosplayed as a random girl from Shuffle and someone else from Battle Royale again (I could have been Yukiko again, just bloody this time ).
Next year I want to do a "human" form of Bellossom, Tenma from School Rumble, and Tsukishima Kirari in the 3rd OP from Kirarin Revolution. Hopefully I can get the costumes done on time |

If only I have straight hair... I always, well not always but since I´ve been watching anime, wanted to have a hairstyle similar to these used in it. I actually never cos-played, but it can be fun! Maybe I´ll try it someday.. No, it´s very probable I´ll do it someday...  |

I've cosplayed a few times before, once for Fruits Basket, once for Death Note (the default Misa that everyone does ;p) and this year I'm thinking of going again! But I'm not very sure what I want to cosplay as yet, and time is pretty tight for me, so might end up not going  |

I dont have straight hair at all. And I have a lot of volume. So I fix this problem with wigs and since you're only probably going to be using it once, you can get a cheap wig too |

Well I actually thought about wearing the hairstyle like normally, not only for the cos-play. Nothing mad, just like some Cloud / Gackt / Ruki (The Gazette) style.. So the wig it´s not the best tip there. May I ask you, girls, if you straighten your hair, how long does it it take until it become curly again? |

I answered nope, but I think it's quite cool and I have some friends who do it 
only yesterday I've been to a little event at the next city, ulm (called ulmer manga days) and the did a little cosplay contest there, but there were only, like, 8 acts or so...
I made some photos, though ^-^
those were the ones who took part in the contest, the catgirl (from dears) won the contest ^^
a little family: mother cosplaying kagome from inuyasha and her husband and son as zorro from one piece...the little boy was so cute
nearly all the cosplayers that were at the event
and my favourite:
a yuna from FF X! ^__^
when she passed by me I was like: "oh a yuna *-*"...she just urned around and smiled but she had to go, because she's working for the shop where the event took place...but I asked her for a photo later
the other girl was a 'lolita' and she was 3rd in the contest, the inuyasha in the background was also from the shop I think
while watching the contest together with a friend, we thought about cosplaying yuna and rikku...or rikku and gippal together...but it was just sorta fun
but if I ever do a cosplay I'm pretty sure it would be a yuna...my ex-boyfriend once said that I look quite similar to her...well...maybe XD |

well, i may do Hachi or NANA but..... erm i dont even dare to do those really anime kind LOL
I'm afraid to do it.. i think I'll look stupid in those =( 
and yeah those cosplayers look cool tho i've seen some that look even better |

Ahh then the cheap wig wouldnt work.
As for straightening my hair, it comes completely out with water. And usually it depends on how long I've taken to straighten it in the first place to determine if it'll come out in 8 hours or last till the next day... and not to mention I have a crappy flat iron  |

I love cosplay!
its the most fun thing ever
i dressed up as Light [death note] at my friend's cosplay party
and me & my friend dressed up as Soubi and Ritsuka [Loveless] when we were skipping school [shhh. don't tell anybody. we're bad little girls]
and for my friend's next party [same friend] i'm going to be Ritsuka [Loveless]
and [man. thats a lot of ands] at this convention i'm going to in August i'm going to be Reno [Advent Children]
cosplay is my new favorite hobby. but its expensive >< |

I don't think I've ever done it, I don't think I ever will, for shy people like me that is. But if I ever had the courage, I would've wanted to dress like Kakashi in Naruto, that would be awesome. I may have to wear a wig, I don't have grey hair.

| Yeah. I tried cosplaying a lot of times but I can't pursue it for now since I'm busy with my studies. xD We often have anime conventions here so I find it very troublesome to do costumes for event after another...that's why I lay low for the moment. XD Cosplaying is fun. xDXD I'll continue doing it I think after I graduate? XDXD |
