Yeah! I like the Naruto ones with those little ninja tunes.
Final Fantasy ones are good too. I liked the X and X-2 one. |

^ lol @ the FF X-2 OST. that soundtrack was just so random... i still like it, though, and i love the battle system in the game.
as for movie soundtracks:
The Nightmare Before Christmas - awesome movie, awesome music, awesome everything
Advent Children: Final Fantasy VII - surprise, surprise! |

I think the Evangelion OST was really good. I like quite a lot from there...they have quite a lot of different OST's, I can't even follow how it's organised. But I have my particular favourites especially Rei's Theme and Hedgehog's Dilemma
Bleach also has a reasonably good soundtrack...some of the music gets very annoying though. |

@mangomalte: I still liked it! Although it was a bit different to the other Final Fantasies. Oh! Can you beat Angra Mainyu? I'm still stuck in that part for millions and millions of minutes!
@sljinu: I crack up everytime I hear that Number One song on Bleach. It's just so different from the other songs. |

| ^ Haha, Bleach's music was just so...different when I first came across it. I'm now used to it but when I first heard it, the sounds were so random. Of course, they also have beautiful music within their soundtrack, such as Never Meant to Belong and Here to Stay. Have you heard any Jdrama OST's? Some of them are really good...it can really capture the emotion from the drama. Haha but thats straying a little off the topic. |

| Ooo game OST's usually, because I'm a big fan of Nobuo Uematsu of Square-Enix. But I also like the soundtracks of really good classics such as Laputa. |

| I'm a fan of game music!=) Xenogears and Chrono Cross have pretty good soundtracks. I went to a Game Music Concert by Eminence with my brother last year and YASUNORI MITSUDA made an appearance!=) It was awesome because there was an autograph session and my bro got a picture and we got autographs=) |

| Many OSTs are very nice...but you need to watch it during the movie to enjoy it. Like the techno or trance in Initial D...its so cool to watch but you get tired of just plainly listening to it. |

music and game OSTS are actually my favorite genre of music!
well, i guess that's not a genre, but still, i love both orchestral/instrumental pieces and songs with vocals from movies and games
(jpop comes in second i suppose )
i love the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts soundtracks.
for most of the instrumental tracks, i think that playing the game or watching the movie is usually necessary to enjoy it.
once you experience the music WITH the visuals, your mind will attach and connect the music with the feelings that were involved in the game or movie. and that's what makes movie and game music really powerful! |

^ that's a pretty good soundtrack.
the title song from that movie by the teriyaki boyz is so funky
it goes like:
I wonder if we know
How they live in Tokyo (hai!)
If you've seen it, AND you mean it,
Then you know you have to go
Fast and furious (kita) (Drift, Drift, Drift)
Fast and furious (kita) (Drift, Drift, Drift)
all that with the craziest vocal ever |

OSTs...
Hm...
Okay okay)
I like to listening to:
Matrix OST (esp. Rob Dougan)
Amelie OST (esp. Amelie's theme=))
Bleach OST (I like Rukia's and Byakuya's character themes, the piano playing in the last one is very deep and wise... In the first song I like the violins, they sounds like in an Irish folk music.. haha=))
One song from the Transformers OST (Mike Shinoda ft. SOB - Second2None)
And... Erm...
Silent Hill OST
Star Wars OST (Imperial March forever! )
from games:
Need For Speed OST (starting from first "Underground". My favorite track is - Dynamite MC - After Party, from NFS Carbon)
Brothers In Arms OST (very sad music, but by listening you can feel the brotherhood feeling, you know )
Silent Hill Game OST
Tekken... 3 haha
So that's all I think. One thing I can say that I prefer to listen OSTs by my own condition on this moment... Maybe the same way like in the games or movies. 4example when you gonna beat someone in the football match you can listen Number One (Bleach) or Imperial March
So, that's all I wanted to say
Thanx 4 attention |
