My order for Poppoya finally arrived and I just got to watch it - thanks so much for the recommendation hitomi #1 - it was a lovely film ... it had a wonderful nostalgic feel to it and the setting was marvellous. I quite enjoyed the story behind it as well having seen many japanese stories based on the same sort of folktale. Thanks again hitomi #1 hope to come back soon |

Great drama suggestions~
I would recommend:
- Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru
- Koizora
- Taiyou no Uta
- Tokyo Friends (although it'll be better if you watch the drama beforehand)
- Nana the Movie

Last one, if you like TV shows, this is a comedy/horror, more on the comedy.

I have watched Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru and I really cried especially when I heard of Ai-chin singing "Renai Shashin". Woo~ That is a great movie, I say..
And after watching that, I watched Ima Ai ni Yukimasu--another tear jerking film.. Woo~ A story from the same writer--Takuji Ichikawa... Whew...
And also.. I tried downloading some yaoi movies like Ai no Kotodama (Words of Devotion). The story's fine.. And yes, it is Yaoi..
I'm currently watching Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu and actually in the half of watching it. Anyway, it is a good movie.. Is there a manga of this? This is actually familiar to me.
But really though, I highly recommend Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru.. it is really good.
Yeah, watch Tokyo Friends Movie too! |

Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru... is a sweet movie.
I recommend My darling is a foreigner, it's a romantic comedy starring Inoue Mao. Though I suggest you have a flip through the manga/book first, cause while some of the points in the movie might make sense to Japanese speakers, for most of us it wouldn't make any sense. |
