I finished reading it a while ago, I didn't know about this thread, though.
I liked it a lot! I'm sad the series is over, though. I went to one of those midnight parties at a local Borders, and it was a lot of fun. I don't wanna give anything away, except I'll share my reactions to the deaths. One death I predicted, three I didn't see coming and was sad about, and one other was also quite sad but in the movies that character bugged me so I didn't mind much
But I didn't really care who died as long as it wasn't Hermione because she's my favorite character!
A lot of people like Harry best, but it bugs me how he's always insisting he do things by himself. But other than that, I like him.
And the epilogue was cute. But who's Victoire? |

Oobs........ sorry, ACCIO SALMON isn't in the Epilogue, just somewhere in the story.
I don't want to say any jokes in the epilogue 'cos it can spoil the whole story |

Victoire is a French name, and has hence been widely agreed Victoire is Fleur and Bill's daughter. |

@HilaryDuffFanboy
Thanks for the info. I was wondering who exactly Victoire was. But I just kept cracking up because my mind began leading off to a different direction. Victoire--->Victor---> Viktor. Perhaps Fleur still has a little crush on Viktor Krum? XDDD Just kidding, I highly doubt that. It's just funny to think of.
@jibi_ai
Oh, now I remember! Yup, that was a pretty funny part. |

@ HDF, octo
Oh! Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for the info.
Haha, wow, that would be interesting, wouldn't it? But probably not, since it's supposed to be appropriate for children. |

I finally finished it yesterday, and I must say I'm really satisfied with the plot and ending. The idea of Deathly Hallows is really cool, she's just amazing to think about all that. Also, I like how she make none of the character "perfect" in a sense, everyone made their mistakes and everyone has their weakness. Overall I think Book 7 is very entertaining and a lot of the things that aren't explained before are fully explained, finally.
For those who have just watched the movie but haven't read any of the books yet, please stop doing so and pick up the books immediately and read them. You don't know what you're losing if you only get to know the story through the movies. Don't let the movie ruin the fun of reading for you! |

^ Yeah, when I read the chapter about the Three Brothers, I was completely awed. It was just a creative idea, I was obsessing over it . I think the best thing was that she kept the consistency throughout every book and tied up every single loose end. I mean, I never thought about Dumbledore and the Mirror of Erised until she mentioned it again. |

@ eyn
Yeah, you're right. I know a few people who haven't read the books because they "don't like reading" or because "they're too long" or something. But the Harry Potter books look long, but somehow you seem to be able to read them really fast anyway. And you can never put them down. People who haven't tried the books definitely should. I hear stories of little kids who hated reading, and began to like it from reading Harry Potter.
Oh, and maybe on the title of this thread, someone should put in like, a spoiler alert warning thing. |

| ^ Yeah, I know. I didn't get that it was over until an hour after I finished the last book. I hope the movies are good. It's kind of hard though, since the books are so long. They really have to skip over a ton of stuff, and that sucks. |

| ^ I agree. I wish they can extend the last two movies for 3 hours each so that they won't skip a lot of parts. The final book really amused me. But It's really sad that a lot of people close to Harry died in the end. |
