PS3 is way too expensive!
Maybe by the time FFXIII comes out, it'll be cheaper?  |

Thanks for looking into that and getting the facts. That's still pretty interesting to know; but I feel that the solidity of that list was kind of a let down when I found out Nintendogs was on there. 
It's weird to think about so many people's Final Fantasy playing dates are numbered; I mean the playstation 3 is just way to expensive. I don't know how they're going to suceed; I haven't ran into anyone that doesn't think that it's overpriced. Here's where we see who the real diehard Final Fantasy fans come out to play. |

I've been hearing many of my friends talk about how great Final Fantasy XII is and all I can do is cry about how I don't have the time to play it yet! *shakes fist at school* The plot looks really interesting though, and the characters seem so spunky. I'm not even going to mention the eye candy cause that oughta be obvious! XD 
As for Final Fantasy XIII, it's not going to be released for a while, right? Around late 2007-ish? I think I may be able to save up enough to buy a PS3 then XD Otherwise, there's always my hardcore gamer friend to bum off of, haha  |

I preferred the original Final Fantasy games on NES and SNES.
I didn't really like anything after FFVI

I don't agree with you completely davedim, but only because I think Tactics is an exception to your statement. Other then that I'm going to have to agree with you. Final Fantasy VII isn't all that it's cracked up to be but then again I played it years after and with all the hype there was no way it was going to live up to my expectations.  |

Oh, I totally agree with you! 
I had forgotten about Tactics. 
I think the reason that so many people like Final Fantasy VII is that maybe it was their first ever Japanese-style RPG?
I'm not certain though.
It is definetely over-rated, I think. |

I still prefer FFVIII  Although I'm a FF fan too, I feel that FFIX onwards are not as good as the old ones... But well, thumbs up for the great graphics though  |

I think FFX is the best for me, because i like the concept of Sin and they are overall pretty nice although i don't really like Tidus, hahaha!
I haven't played FFVII, but because many ppl say it's the best of the series, i gotta try. BUT unfortunately my Playstation doesn't work anymore!! 
Anyway, i am one of those that agree the price of PS3 is rather too expensive... I am Playstation's fan, and have always loving it. But the transition they made from PS2 to PS3 doesn't really impress me. FF series as well, they shld have make good of PS2 rather than giving it just few episodes and jump directly to PS3 after FFXII. I felt disappointed somehow. Maybe i am not hardcore enough. |

| I prefer Rikku from FFX, but not FFX-2. But perhaps i shld be falling in love with Tifa if i played FFVII. My all time favourite character is Auron, he is just so cool. |

omg!! a Final Fantasy thread!!
I love FFX and FFX-2 (the story, character designs and soundtrack are sooo good!)
I think from FFVIII (the first FF game that I got into) all the way to the current FFXII released now, the only FF that I don't really like is FFIX.
anyways, I played half of the Japanese version of FFXII back when it was released in April. The game is pretty interesting but the batle system takes some time to get used to in the beginning. I guess I will pick up again after my exams.
I can't wait till FFXIII is released. It's going to be soooo good!! |
