When I play FF10, I always keep thinking Yuna is Ai. She was starting to remind me alot of Ai. Who agrees? |

Well...i don't really think so. Ai is much much more adorable than FFX's Yuna.
Speaking of soundtrack, i do like FFX's. I like To Zanarkand especially. Just so great! But FF's soundtracks are usually nice i think. |

Yea, but her sweetness reminds me of Ai. You gotta love the soundtrack. If you listen, Suteki Da Ne's chorus sounds similar to Planetarium's chorus. |

well, in FFX Yuna is more serious bcoz she always have this summoner duty
but I do think the Yuna in FFX-2 comes closer in resembling Ai since she is more playful and relaxed and traveling around the world. |

suteki da ne sounds like planetarium because of the lyrics...i think both choruses start with ikitai. i'm not sure, i havent heard suteki da ne in months and dont feel like hearing it now.
punito...i do believe that counts as a double post? |

Yup, after listening carefully again they do sound similar in the chorus part. I didn't realise it until u mention it. Nice observation! |

i'm so jealous of my brother who's got his copy of FF XII imported from the US. i want one too!
i have played as many FF's as i've been able to come over (except I - V). but for some reason i never finish them.
i've only finished IX (took a month) and VI (took three years, cause i took 2 really long breaks from it playing other RPGs).
i've restarted VII three times and i'm currently at the last disc (1,5 years since i played it, though ). i came to the end of X, and when i was there i got KH, so i finished that, then i got FF X-2 and came to the end of that, then i started playing ape escape III or something...
i'm worthless at finishing games. |

| I just imported mine from the US, one thing i've gotta say is it's so easy to level up it's not funny. I've got Vaan, Balthier & Fran both over level 40 and I only just about got out of the prison. I must admit I love Balthier's & Fran's voices. And it's so big compared too the old FF which I love. |

yay, good to see so many Final Fantasy fans here
the first I ever played was FF7, and I've played all of them up to FF X
My favourites are probably 6, 7, 8 and 9
but Final Fantasy 7 simply HAS to be played - it has one of the most tragic plot twists EVER
(I think I've been scarred for life )
I also will be getting a PS3, but probably next Christamas time or something -
It will be worth while then, with more games, etc -
definitly tooo expensive at the moment
carlito - you found FF 7 roms yet?
mangomalte - you're not the only one...
Mojo Pin - what you're saying about the leveling up makes me think that maybe the game is too easy or too short ? or maybe you're just a good player, lol
Anyone here got / getting a Nintendo Wii?
Theres a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles sequel being released soon

@mangomalte:
I also needed yeeears to finish my FF games...especially 7, 8 and 9...
I didn't quite like FF 7, so I played a while and lost my motivation....about a year later, I continued until nearly the end of the game...then I made another break, because I thought the end battle would be soooo difficult...so somewhen I continued again and tried the end battle and I survived within my first try
so...I waited and waited for nothing...
nearly the same with FF 8...I stopped before the fight against artemisia/ultemecia and I went to the secret island to get bahamut and eden...because I thought that the end battle would be horribly difficult with artemisia's 3 (4?) different versions...then I went back and tried to fight her...and again I survived it without any problem...squall just did his multi-slash-thing with 9999 each hit and arti was history pretty fast
and it's nearly the same with FF9, stopped before the end battle...not because I was afraid...I couldn't beat this stupid last enemy in 3 tries...but then I made it...with only steiner left living, being a berserk and having looooow HP (maybe 200, so one more hit and he would have died XD)...I was so shocked, when I saw that the enemy was defeated...it was the last thing I would have expected
but...up to now I have 7, 8, 9, 10 and 10-2 finished and I'm desperately waiting for FF 12 >__<
@ mojo pin:
hmm...that sounds strange...maybe the higher levels will be much harder to reach or there will be more levels to reach this time...?
I hope so, because too easy games are lame
@ aioaio:
hmm, not planning to get a wii, but I'm very interested in it
I haven't played FF chrystal chronicles, only watched a friend playing it a bit, but not for long...if only the game would have been released for PS too... |

hehe... same thing with me! that Necron guy in the end of IX has this really annoying "Great Cross" ability that puts different status ailments on your characters. i got zombie on two of my guys just before doing cure 3 (or whatever it's called), so they just died and couldn't be resurected. and zidane was berserk and confused (and some other stuff). i only had eiko left (with about minimum health, since zidane kept hitting her!) and she had poison and slow... but i managed to do terra homing one last time, and he died! i was so releaved after that...
i keep telling myself i have to finish the games i've started... but currently i'm playing KH2 and Suikoden III, so FF has to wait. |

FF 12 is really easy to level<if u are willing to grind mobs> , beacuse from the start theres is no limit where u can go . iTs like Mmorpg thus u can out level the story easily and even get good weapon a +80 weapon at lvl 30+ . but FF12 the world is really big its almost like world of warcraft and not easy to complete even for a normal RPG player .
I like ff12 , it realli give us a better battle system , unlike the pervious FF series <excluding FF11> You don't have to load for a battle to start thus a faster gameplay (but the world is so big -_-' ) the lisence board sure gives more fredom for player and of course the graphic improved alot .the best thing is.. U GOT TO RIDE CHOCOBO MORE!! unlike ff10 u can onli ride in clam lands...-.-
You guys sould really get =D its really fun and gives the player more freedom but make u fustrating sometimes.
NOTE** u had to skip some treasure in order to get the zodiac spear(best weapon) if u accidentally opened the treasure box , so sorry but the only way is to restart it . search for some tips before playing it =D
and me...replaying it as i had missed the zodiac spear GRRR!! |

Well it's easy cause of the monsters re-spawning, all I had too do was level up too 10 and obtaining a Mist-Knack. Just Mist-Knack the werewolves at the Giza Plains , around 15 hours I was lvl 30 without doing any part of the story.
So far though Final Fantasy XII is quite good, a few gripes though the story compared too any other Final Fantasy is sub-standard but still better than most of the competition. (Your not really going too form an emotional bond with any of the characters like the previous ones.) I was bemused by the fact we had to pay for gambits. The music isn't as amazing compared too past Final Fantasies as their really isn't a standout tune.
The license grid however was good but I wish it was structured more like FF X's Sphere Grid as it's hard too know where to start as there aren't any preset classes (White Mage,Warrior).
The battle system is the best in the FF series, the pure fact the battles are fun instead of a chore and where you are on the enviroment can greatly shift the balance of the battle. The fact that exploring almost every part of Ivalice is great, as their isn't a linear path anymore like you've got too get through numerous different ways before getting too your objective and find some hidden great places like the 'Zertinian Caverns' which take sometime between 30 min - 45 min. Instead of turning up in an area in less than 5 min like FF X. The graphics are good as said by EVILXKAKASHI and the CG cutscenes are still amazing.
There is a small review of the game by me.
I'd give it a 8.7/10 rating one of top ten highest rated games. (Im a tough marker) |
