Alright, I got done with another anime called "Gun X Sword." The story behind this anime is pretty simple...a man named Van goes after the "man with a claw arm." This man apparently killed Van's wife, and now obviously Van is seeking revenge. Now, I thought this was a really good anime. There were a couple weird parts, but on the whole it was great. I highly recommend it. And yes, the third episode is weird (I've heard several people drop the anime because they thought the third episode was "too weird"). So bear with it, and I'm sure you'll like it in the end.

The title sounds nice, i am excited to see anime involving sword. Thanks for introducing. I will take note of the 3rd episode. But i don't know whether it will affect my thinking of the anime. But i will finish it.^^

I watched a fair share of it and it's pretty good. The character design is really great and the action is fluent and constant. The one problem I have with the anime is that it feels like they're trying to cram too much into it at the same time. It combines all of these element from other animes; I mean Van is pretty much Vash and Spike put together. Van also happens to be a mecha pilot. It feels like their trying to combine Trigun, a random mecha anime, and Cowboy Bebop all into one. I mean, those are all great animes but it seems like a lot to me. That's just one person's opinion though. I'm probably going to go back and finish this anime one day but not yet.

Judge for yourself. Here's the opening for the anime: Gun X Sword OP

One of the things I really enjoyed about this anime were the characters There were very few anime "archetypes" that can be found in a lot of series (even the good ones). These archetypes can be anything from the "well-intentioned but clumsy male lead that happens to have latent superpowers" or the "mysteriously overpowered/wise figure that appears in times of need and vanishes afterwards". In GunxSword each character has their own unique look and feel that can't be found in another series (i.e. Trunks and Hitsugaya, anybody?) Van is in no way the traditional protagonist and the Man with the Claw is not what he seems either. All in all, highly recommended.
