| Woah, seems like Ai-chin is really much more mature than her cutesy antics make her appear to be. Would love to see the pictures to this, although I doubt anyone would scan them up anytime soon. |

| I have no idea who that girl was, but she looked young. I'm guessing she was probably a prostitute or a stripper. |

Well, the location/subject matter in the press releases was given as the "red-light district and slums of Bangkok, Thailand," with a specific focus on the lives of women in these areas. |

| Ah. Would it be too bold to ask if someone scanned the photobook? By the way everyone puts it, it sounds thrilling yet eye-opening. |

| I'm still waiting from mine from yesasia.. I'm getting the "searching from suppliers" message. Hopefully they work it out. |

I got my photobook from my Japan contact. Being the curious person that I am I had to flip through the book. I have to agree with KiRei_KaWaii in that it was shocking.
I haven't really read much about the photobook and the previews threw me off too. The first and major part of the photobook book is made up of pictures that Ai took which is interesting in a sense it's like seeing the world through Ai's eyes . Granted it was shocking but you have to consider the location she took.
I was shocked because I wasn't expecting this from Ai but I'm kind of glad in a way that she did do this to expose the this side of the world to her fans. I'm sure not all of you will agree with me. BUT there's a reason to my madness.
The way I'm looking at it (essentially MY THEORY) is that Ai could be trying to show a side of the world that is a reality and that maybe some people would rather avert their eyes from. I'm sure a good majority of the members here live is some kind of city right? Don't we turn away from the issue of homeless-ness (... most people)? I mean, as far as I know most people kind of just like them off the street as ... well as I've heard "it's an eyesore" to the city. I know that sound awfully rude but it's just how some people think. Don't get me wrong, the world isn't that cruel, there's people helping by doing what they can and the government does try to arrange things like shelters and whatnot.
Basically what I'm saying is that maybe this is Ai's way of bring out global issues. But at the same time she's trying to say there's beauty in everything. You just have to look at it from a different point of view. And this goes back to why I like Ai for doing this (that's IF I'm right) because it's turn. Just because something is "depressing" doesn't mean you have to avert all the eyes. You have to face reality one time or another and if you look more closely you can find beauty in something that you didn't think had beauty. More or less having an open mind.
Keep in mind I don't know how to read a word of Japanese (unless the character is very similar to Chinese) so my THEORY could be completely wrong.
In the latter pages of the books there's more pseudo photo collages of Ai ... some of them look like past photo shoots she did for PVs or singles and some look like new material. There was a line that stuck out the me the most and that was "Simple is Best" ... granted it's probably like the only phrase I understood but it sticks out for me because I agree with it.
Oh and I have the postcards that came with the pre-order. I'll try to scan them hopefully this week but I gotta get working on an outline for a work project. |

I posted the scans (that I made earlier this week) of the postcards I got from Shinko music with the pre-order on my blog.

There was only one postcard I did not scan since it was NWS (not work/school safe) |

That is so infuriating.
Just two days ago they contacted me saying they were unable to get the photobook at all and were going to remove it from the site.
I placed a request through Kinokuniya, but YesAsia would be cheaper if they can actually get it...
Guess I'll try one more time...
*sigh* |

| Wow this sounds so great if it gives rise to social issues. I knew someone like Ai would care about it but showing it through a photobook called LOVE WORLD is really nice. I can't wait to get my copy. |
