Well, i have seen Battle Royale, as many other has done too. Kinji Fukasaku really managed to give us a hell of a ride in this movie. Strong acting by Tatsuya Fujiwara ( Nanahara Shuyaku) and Aki Maeda ( Nakagawa Noriko) and by all the other actors as well.
It became on of my favorites after i had seen it for the first time, and it stills remain as on of my favorites.
Unfortunaly, i havenīt seen Battle Royale II, i will try to see it sometimes soon. Anyway, according to alot of people, BR II is far away from Battle Royale`s greatness. |

i think Battle Royale *Batoru Rowaiaru* is..damn i cant even find words well its fantastic everybody should see that movie.
I have Batoru Rowaiaru 1-2 on my dvd collection and they are both good. the second Battle Royale aint that good as the first one was but if you liked the first one then you will love the second one. I did love both of them *Kinji Fukasaku IS the man even he aint here anymore.* |

i've watched battle royale, and i thought it was great! the whole story plot was pretty cool too. there's something about it that draws me into it, but i can't pinpoint what. the bloody action? the cool school uniforms? hehe. whichever, i really enjoyed the movie! the ending with the cookies was a bit strange though . .
[ now craves for cookies ]
i also read volume one of the manga, and realized it had a bunch more gore than the movie. uwaa, but it was also enjoyable . |

BR is great movie! My favourite, hhah. I have watched it about 6 times. xD It's so cool.. I don't really like bloody movies, but I was really surprised I liked this one a lot! BRII wasn't as good as first one, but well.. It was good too.
Most of actors did great job too. My favourites were Tatsuya Fujiwara (Shuya), Masanobu Ando (Kiriyama) and Kou Shibasaki (Mitsuko).
It's really great movie, you all should watch it even if you don't like bloody stuff, haha. |

I didn't know there was a manga or Novel for it! |

oh..and the thing about this movie..was that i watched it after i watched Napolean Dynamite..for those who have seen it..it's pretty but none the less so for those who can imagine..2 completly different genres. But both puzzling me greatly. |

I've read the manga. It was less graphic in some extent because it was not real but still some scenes did manage to disturb me. It managed to create a huge impact on me - it was strange seeing how morals where chucked away and those kids kill each other for their own twisted reason. If I was in their situation probably I wouldn't have killed anyone but many students came up with a sort of "excuse" to justify why they were killing their own friends. Others just didn't care and killed for the heck of it. Makes you wonder what would happen if there was complete anarchy in the world.
I liked the whole concept. I feel that the author managed to address an interesting sociological issue by creating this disturbing story. It really makes you think about the social structures we're living in and reconsider how free we really are. |

| Only saw DOA. My first exposure to the concept of Battle Royale. Intrigued. Will try to get the lowdown on Battle Royale when possible. Still intrigued. |
