| Someone told me she wrote Pocket for her boyfriend. And they were even engaged to be married but then he broke up with her. I think this was said before she performed it on Music Station. You know how they talk to them before they perform the song? I think it was said there. But I haven't actually seen the full talk before she performs it. I've only seen her perform it. So I don't know how accurate that is. Which would explain why she gets so emotional it had a deep meaning for her. Again I don't know how true it is. But I did read that somewhere or someone told me. I can't remember which. |

You should prolly ignore it or else a rumour will start up.  Back on topic I think this single is one of Ai's best since Planetarium.  |

Many people ask for the meaning of the song. I think the meaning is relative, sometimes clear, and sometimes not so. However, I understand the song perfectly, perhaps it's like this because I'm not japanese or english either. I'm spanish. So I can understand the song by other point of view. My lenguage is very varied, you can say the same by many ways but always with a different perspective. I think that the song talks about the extrange love that Ai (or the singer) feels, obviously she doesn't know exactly how she feels, she's confused by the things that hurt her in the past but she goes on in love with the person that she considers her lover. The meaning of the phrase "two hands tied in the pocket, in secret... " means for me that the love is forbbiden, and so they meet in secret and dont tell anyone their love. Perhaps he doesnt love her so much, or lover her nothing but that's something that only Ai knows, or no. . We'll never know until ask her. I wish!! |
