@ultratails:
i'm glad it sounds good.
ah! i see. well, your hands are still growing! ^^ whenever you can't reach a chord, just play the top 3 notes. it should sound fine. and keep playing piano! i used to take piano lessons, but i quit, and now i usually just write my own music. but now i've realized that it'd be nice if i has kept taking lessons and could play better so i can make more complex compositions.
thanks for playing it i'll get the rest of it done asap! |

@hiro:
Thanks for add my tabs into the repository above..
I got your piano sheet, too bad I have to wait until weekend to play it..
@ultratails:
wow, you re so lucky you've playing piano since you re child.. hehe
don't worry piano are design for grown people,... for small hand's it's just a matter of time,..
well, how about playing bass
for a small hands, sure it'll be harder than playing piano, coz even for a grown people bass frets are too wide when you just learn to play it..
but beware, after you mastered the bass, your hands is not normal again.. hahaha.. just kidding.. it's like playing basket ball, some of those Michael-Jordan-like can hold a basketball with just one hands..
And I think that because they play bass.... hehe.. just kidding again,...
well,.. talking about bass, If you interested to play Otsuka Ai - Kumuri Uta (クムリウタ) bass,..
I wrote one,.. please enjoy:

alright! i finished my piano solo arrangement of "Pocket"!
here's the PDF file (mediafire)!
this should be the last update to this particular arrangement unless there are significant typos or errors in the harmonies, etc.
this is the first arrangement i've ever done without actually sitting at a piano to play it as i arranged it by ear. of course, i checked to make sure it sounded good after i was done
if you printed an old version of my arrangement, please print the entire new version because i made MAJOR changes to the entire score, including formatting changes to make it easier to read and notation changes.
@sicodoc:
you play piano too? sweet!
i play piano. i once played clarinet, but didn't like it much.
i dabble with basic guitar stuff. i don't have a bass to play around with
and i can pretty much deal wtih any keyboard-style instrument, like marimba, vibraphone, and of course electronic keyboards are cool for synthesizing a full orchestral sound.
i'll add your new bass arrangement to the repository with credit to you! |

@ hiro and sicodoc
Yeah, my hands are pretty small now, but they're still growing, so sooner or later I'll be able to play those big chords.
I've never played the bass before, but I've tried playing the guitar a little at school, though I'm bad at it.
Thanks for the full Pocket piano arrangement, hiro! I'll try to play it soon. |

@lurve_ya & @petree:
you're welcome! glad i could be helpful
* Please note that I am not currently taking requests. I might start taking them after I finish Himawari and all the work i have to do. In the meantime, if you have your own sheet music and would like to do a sheet music trade (for which I arrange something for you in exchange for some of your sheet music or anything Ai-related that I would like), that is entirely possible. * |

haha okei dokei.
i'm still working on himawari.
after a month of listneing to 90% ai otsuka music, i'll wait until winter break to consider arranging other ones, since they take a lot of time and effort. my brain and my ears are just dead tired after trying to pick up the notes and harmonies in the instrumental and vocal heavy choruses. |

@Krisiuns:
i included the chords in the sheet music for "Pocket" and the song's accompaniment is very chord-based already so it should be playable on guitar.
Pocket also has a guitar finger-picking accompaniment separate from the piano part, but i didn't include that in my piano solo arrangement because it is not possible to play both the guitar part, the piano part, and the vocal part on the piano simultaneously since they overlap a lot.
if you would like me to transcribe the guitar part for "pocket", i'll try to find time to do that during my winter break (mid-december) just in time for christmas |

@hiro:
Writing music on winter break sure are good.. sure you're lucky, you got a break on christmas..
reminds me my not-so busy days years ago.. but now I already got my full schedule of what to do on christmas plus everybody already booking for a leave, ugh.. I'm gonna be alone on the office on christmas I guess..
but I'll be fine, hehe..
btw, I already done translating Otsuka Ai - Heart Bass Tab,.. I just realize it's a little bit jazzy, the patterns are keep changing, it's jazz anyway, next time you play it is different than before.. that's why I must listen hard to track down the bass .. but I think it's fun if you play it by heart, even it's would be great if you could put additional variation etc.. it's so fun play it..
you can find my Otsuka Ai - Heart bass tab here
enjoy !!

@sicodoc:
ah, i see.
i must remember to wish you all merry christmas and happy holidays when mid-december rolls around.
thanks for making the tab! i'll add it to the grand list of sheet music and tabs!
i don't have a bass to play, but i have a electronic keyboard.
i know how to read tablature, but i don't remember what the tuning of the bass is.
is it E - A - D - G ?
btw, i finished transcribing the introduction of Himawari (Live Piano version).
yes, i've only done the introduction i'll post it when i finish all of it.
i've been working on my own compositions and songs.
unfortunately, due to crazy copyright and issues, i won't be posting my own musical creations on this site, but maybe i'll post one of my improvisations sometime |
