your tab is now ready, i'll post it here for ya.

wow that was pretty on point with the guitars. i see what ya mean with the drums but if you aren't comparing it to the song then i doubt anyone will notice. you're too amazing aeNema, thanks for sharing your amazing tabs!
EDIT: i pretty much learned all of the rhythm guitar sections, but i was never great at single note alternate picking on chords because i always use finger style picking with a nylon but i want to get better at it. i love how the chords sound during the solo that possibly my favorite part of the song. |

I have no idea how advanced you are, so I did my best to simplify the Chords without losing how the song is supposed to sound. If there are some chords you don't know how to do let me know. I had to do it twice since my browser crashed when I tried to post the last one or something, I hope nothing is going to happen this time.
PS.: If you want it in french just let me know.
Intro: D
Chorus 1:
G - A - F#m7 - Bm7
Em - A - D7M - Bm7
G - A - F#m7 - Bm7
Em - A - D7M - F - Em7 - D#7M -D
Verse 1:
G - F#m7
G - A - Bm7 - C - D
Chorus 2
Verse 2
Bridge:
C - G - D
C - G - A
Chorus 3
(add E at the end for transition)
(Chorus will be 1 step higher from now on.)
Chorus 4-5-6-7:
A - B - G#m7 - C#m7
F#m - B - E - C#m7
(Last line of the 7th Chorus will be this instead):
F#m - B - E
Eadd9/B |

Thanks again, and it's a pleasure to translate tab for you. I hope you'll enjoy playing it as I did. I really liked playing the lead part especially, but without a Echo/delay stomp-box it might not be as fun, but if you have one, I suggest you start with the lead guitar
Oh and it's totally possible to play the rhythm guitar in standard tuning without the capo in 4th fret, it just make everything more complicated. The only part that can't be played without the Capo is the end of the solo. The only way to make it work would be to play only the 3 little string instead of the whole chords. wont sound the same tough. |

i have a delay stomp box actually! boss dd-3 is what i use and mostly i use it for rin toshite shigure songs (on saturday after a long day in san francisco, me and my gf played disco flight together. you said you looked them up, but if you haven't heard that song you should check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2McoO9BOYvE&feature=related. i love the intro rift. so simple but sounds incredible with delay on).
do you know the ms on delay btw? and is it only the section after the solo and before the chords that's delayed? |

I have an Echo Park from line 6, which is way more complex that what you have and doesn't work the same way at all XD. I got it setup to an 8th doted, at 98.5 fx tempo, cause I can tap my own tempo with that one. also setup at Digital delay, no special Mod. Feedback around 30% and Mix at about 40% or less. I think the mix is the E-level on yours, which I guess is for echo lvl.
I have done some test, and it looks like it's about 450ms, i'm not sure if it's going to be that tough. You can always look at the setting a the delay stompbox in Gp6 tough, the setting might be close to what you need for yous Boss DD-3.
If that doesn't work you can easily do it by ear I guess
and there is delay the whole song for the lead guitar, but it is setup in a way so when they actually hit the distortion stompbox (on top of the overdrive from the amp.) it will kinda cover up the echo, especially when you will bind, which explain why he almost just does that in the solo. Distortion will stay on until the end after the solo, I think he even raise the volume for the feedback notes during 2nd Chorus (which I wasn't able to reproduce quite exactly the same way, but I'm guessing you need to be standing in front of your amp for that to work correctly). Before the solo it's just clean with some overdrive depending of your amp, you might have to put your Drive to max or 10% XD
That's what I meant by "it's all about controlling your intensity" if you play around with your volume enough you will find the right setting.
I hope it answer all your questions
PS: the song is awesome /grin /dance |

i havent tried the lead yet but i finished learning the rhythm section awhile ago. from the solo tho i used most of it as a reference to learn the original boo bee benz ver of the song's solo. i put together a video of my playing it in less than 5 mins but i edited it wrong and it came out out of sync so i decided not to put it up. my gf is learning the bass section as well and can play most of it i think, but shes really busy with work being a intern formulating chemist and all but hopefully when we learn it all, ill borrow my friends camera and make a video cover of it with your drum track as the backing. |

Nice, I can't wait to see that! I've been working on recording a song myself, it's not one of Ai's Song since I wrote it myself, but I did it like if it was one of her song. Kinda like a Tribute song. It's kind of a side project that i'm doing when I have free time or a rush of inspiration. The only thing I would be missing are some good japanese lyrics and probably finding someone who can sing them. |

Oh i didn't see that you asked for Hikari as well. you are quite lucky cause i did that one when it was released and when it's a beautiful sunny day outside like it is today, it always put me in the mood to play some Ai !
I'll try to make it as simple as possible for you but since i don't know what chords you know or not it's a lot of guessing, and Ai's songs usually uses a lot of 7th chords, if those are too complicated you can always just play the normal chord without the 7th. It will sound less Jazzy that way though.
Hikari:
Intro:
D - A (x4)
Verse 1: (you can play D and A instead and it will still sounds good)
Dsus2 - Asus2
Dsus2 - Asus2
Dsus2 - C#m7
Dsus2 - Asus2
Pre-Chorus 1:
Bm7 - C#m7 - Dsus2 - C#m7
Bm7 - C#m7 - B7 - E
Chorus 1: (x2)
Asus2 - Bm7 - C#m7 - F#m7
D7M - E7 - F#m7 - E7
D7M - C#m7 - Bm7 - E
Interlude:
D - A (x4)
Verse 2: (you can play D and A instead and it will still sounds good)
Dsus2 - Asus2
Dsus2 - C#m7
Dsus2 - Asus2
Dsus2 - C#m7
Pre-Chorus 2:
Bm7 - C#m7 - Dsus2 - C#m7
Bm7 - C#m7 - B7 - E
Bridge:
Asus2 - C#m7 - Dsus2 - (Dsus2add13 - E)
Asus2 - C#m7 - Dsus2 - (Dsus2 - D - D/G#)
F#m - E - Asus2 - C#m7
E7- D7M - B7 - E
Chorus 2: (x2)
Asus2 - Bm7 - C#m7 - F#m7
D7M - E7 - F#m7 - E7
D7M - C#m7 - Bm7 - E
(after playing twice)
D7M - C#m7 - Bm7 - E (x4)
D7M - C#m7 - Bm7 - E7
Outro:
D - A (x3)
D
