Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone here plays Halo 3? It is said to be the most anticipated game of 2007, and I fully support that statement!
Also, does anyone play on Xbox Live? We can play each other! |

I'm afraid not. I played it in a local game store and it was OK. I guess I haven't properly played it yet, but it looked kinda last-gen compared to other recent titles. I played the original Halo, but I found it really boring - The enemies are really unoriginal and plain, the weapons suck, and (most importantly) when I play a game I like to have a decent story (such as Oblivion or something), whereas in halo it was like - Shoot this, shoot that, get on a spaceship, mission complete. Quite linear too
I have just been playing Crysis which (could if I had a decent PC ) looks absolutely amazing, with some truly revolutionary features. Have a look
I want to play gears of war (out now on PC), but I have never played it before so I dunno what it's like really Anyone know much about the PC release? Apparently you have to pay for Windows LIVE in order to play online
But I don't play games all that much now

| Oh, believe me after finals are over I will. I was a huge fan of Halo I and II so I'm really excited to play three. I was pretty good at online too with a rank in the top 1000 worldwide. Actually, for my birthday my friends all bought me a year subscription to Live and Halo III, so the only thing that I need to get is that actual 360... |

| Wow you must be good... I like playing on live, but the subscription thing annoys me, I don't want to pay to play! |

^Yeah that's what gets me too and is partly why i haven't bought a 360 (plus that I have no money ). Microsoft are even trying to implement it into PC gaming now They fail....epically
But Halo 3 is probably really good. I will play it on PC once it finally gets ported there....knowing Microsoft, probably a couple of years (after the wait for Halo 2 )

| I must say that Halo 3 is great, but only fun when your playing with mates. Single player is not bad, but as I said before, with mates it is twice as fun. |

| Played it today for the first time. God it was addictive. My friend left his xbox360 at my place because we went out and he didn't wanna carry it everywhere. Basically....I stayed up all night playing hehe. I'm not that great at Halo but I do believe the difficulty has been raised from its predecessors. Is this what most people find?? Or has my long hiatus from video games just turned me back into a noob? |

| Hmm, I would say that Halo 3 is easy. I mean, look at the difficulty "Legendary", in Halo 2 if one person died, you have to start again from your last checkpoint. In Halo 3, however, you can die many times as you like, and your friend can respawn you if he/she goes to safety! So easy stuff... |

I own the game but not the console. My friend let me borrow his and it's taken up all my time for the last two days. I've already beaten it on easy just to get the story and see where the tough parts are going to be in heroic and legendary. I'm really pumped to get my 360 after finals and go live.
As for difficulty, I'd have to argue with that on that one. Like Sonny said, in Halo 2 when your partner died you'd both restart and that made it head and shoulders harder then Halo 3, but it was worth the glory afterwards. Imagine being able to make a video of both of you going through the entire game without either of you dying! That'd be crazy. That kind of video for Halo 3 would like taking turns at suicide runs, haha.
On the other hand, there are some pretty epic moments in the newest one. I mean, the first time I saw that scarab and there wasn't a convenient bridge for me to jump onto it, I was just blown away. "How the hell!?" Luckily, the scarabs have been changed up a bit so it's actually plausible. |

| I'm actually talking about single player. I haven't gotten as far as trying cooperative gameplay yet. Then again, it might be just that I haven't gotten used to the game yet? I mean like, a lot of the things are new and I don't quite know all the levels yet. Ah well...I know one thing is for sure, the flood are a hell of a lot easier now. |
