This is the mp3 rip of the performance you posted I can't remember where I got it from  Most likely alanworld though so that's where the credit would go to 
I remember while searching for a full version of this song I came across many artists that sing this song. alan being one of them. Unfortunately I didn't find a full version by her But one of most popular versions is by Natsukawa Rimi

It's for Megumi no Ame.
I wish the Erhu was more prominent in the song. It would have made it more unique/stand out. It's a ballad it definitely falls under something that I like.
I personally really like this compared to Sora Uta ... not sure if I like it more than Kaze no Tegami. Maybe a tad more Like I said, I like ballads, so I don't mind alan doing songs like this but for fans whom are fond of ballads, alan wouldn't be able to sing songs like this all the time otherwise fans would start to get bored with her. |

alan recently released a digital single (well it was only one song) in China. It is a collaboration with one of her friends Wei Chen (魏晨). Wei Chen is actually semi-popular in China right now. He was a contestant in Super Boy '07 (national singing competition in China held by Hunan TV ... I've I remember correctly, they also do Super Girl ... it falls along the lines of shows like One Million Star in Taiwan or the American Idol in the States). I know he's released his own EP ... I'm not sure if he has an album.

Sorry I don't trust my Mandarin skills enough to do a direct translation but essentially he talks about the single and that alan is not able to be there with him for the clip due to her busy schedule.
Oh yea silly me, the songe is called "加油!你有ME!" and this song was a tie-in to the current Epson campaign with alan. I heard the direct English translation is Come On, You Have ME!). But since I actually understand the characters, and the more literal meaning for 加油! is Fight on! (kind of like Ganbatte in Japanese ... in PinYin, it's JiaYou, if I remember right ... it's been a while since I've had Mandarin classes XD).

Wow, I've spaced out on this thread. My bad.
Ashita e no Sanka ~Orchestra Version~ is simply EPIC. Breathtaking, and I say this with all seriousness.
Megumi no Ame is pretty, but I suppose it's a little lacking. I wish there had been something else to it. Like more ehru, as suggested, or some more powerful vocals. I felt like she held back too much. -shrug-
That song she did with Wei Chen is so cute! I like the point where she's just sorta vocalizing. It's pretty. |

Another article about the Epson campaign with lots of picture from the press conference and some promo pictures for the digital single.
Haha I think it's funny how recently everyone seems to have some kind of product tie-in with their single or up-coming single. Almost seems like a band-wagon affect though I know tie-in are quire frequent since it is a good tactic to market a single.
I find myself listening to Megumi no Ame. I grown quite fond of the song. Next to Red Cliff, it's definitely one of my fav A-sides from her five elemental singles. I'm tempted to pick up the single though I kind of want to wait on her album.
I still haven't heard anything solid about her album(s), at least nothing solid enough for me to feel like reporting on.
I'm in the mood for a picture spam session since I keep coming across alan pictures/scans.
