I saw Planetarium in Chinese and I liked the lyrics a lot! maybe because i am able to understand it more than the jap lyrics? haha, anyway, i tried very hard to listen to what she's singing and I couldnt catch some parts.

rough translation:
Behind the sunset, the moon appeared.
??
The sky so faraway; are you waiting quietly for me in this universe?

During the last days of summer, at a corner of the park which belonged to us,
we looked at the sky and made a wish
Do you still remember the beautiful sky we looked at together?

Chorus:
I want to be by your side and stay with you. I can't control the urge of wanting to see you now
I roam about in the darkness; I can't see but I'm not lonely
Because of you, I'll walk strongly (be strong)
In this starry sky, ??. The starry sky that will not change, will always stay by me.
Tears won't drop, because that day you and I saw this beautiful sky.

I got reminded of the footsteps when I see this road.
It is like ringing in my ears; it is an illusion, it is a dream.
Just when I walked out, I realised ??
I'm upset because I'm unable to cry.

Chorus:
I want to be by your side and stay with you. I don't care if the sky in your eyes will think about me.
Without that, I love you more than you love me.
Because of you, I'll walk strongly
When shooting stars glide across the dark sky, I made a wish silently and hide it in my chest.
Tears won't drop; if i pray sincerely, this beautiful sky will understand.

I want to be by your side and stay with you. Hold my small hands tightly.
Tears are falling continuously; there is no reason, all I can blame is that
the sky is too beautiful.
When shooting stars glide across the dark sky, I made a wish silently and hide it in my chest.
Tears are falling continuously, hoping to leave all my longings in this beautiful sky.

the ones in italic are the ones I'm not sure of, while the '??' are the ones i really can't catch anything. =X
but anyhow, I love all the chorus and thus I wanted to translate/share this. If anyone knows any mistakes, or the parts im unsure of, please do tell me! =]

Im once again late at watching this performance, can hardly find time in between weekends to do so. No But nevertheless, got down to watching it today.

I dont quite like the opening of rocket sneaker, the music starts on play, and ai-chin briefly popped out of nowhere(actually out of the "earth" balloon thingy). Felt kind of abrupt, or maybe I dont exactly favour that song either. lol Giggle The absence of akinori can also be felt without his eccentric actions.(where has he been actually? He's also missing for the LOVE LETTER tours... Sad )I really like the arrangement for GIRLY though.

Then came the piano solos.(yay for shabondama) which helps smoothen the mood of the whole performance. The day time setting is something refreshing, Im surprised that the performance started much earlier than that of previous years. When ame iro parasol started and the brass assembly got on stage, I was like WTH, why is Yokan wearing a dress?!!? Surprised Shifty

Chulipers appearing this early into the show was not the norm, but they did bring some life to the whole atmosphere of the concert with their colourful outfits and quirky dance moves during mouso chop and ramen 3 pun cooking Laughing As it was always shoichi tomomori that plays the sanxian in momo no hanabira, it is only then when I saw the long hair guy playing it instead that I realise shoichi is also missing!! Sad

The medley is pretty cool. Using it as a pseudo introduction to her band and also to display the band's instruments individually through it also showed the kind of bonding she had with them, especially with Mio and Yokan. Charlie's so casual as always, he's always in T-shirt and shorts, with that laid back expression when behind the keyboard. Tongue

Kurage, nagareboshi warps up the front part of the concert. The second part is like usual, upbeat songs. The birthday cake surprise this time was nice, as compared to the 4th anniv where ai-chin prolly knew about it beforehand. On the whole, ai-chin and her band seems to have enjoyed herself a lot this time, other than the lack of piano solos and the opening, I thought it was really an amazing performance by ai-chin. Love

There was only 2 piano solos,(shabondama and kumuriuta) they came quite early into the concert. Was great and the feeling to the 2 solos was completely different as compared to previous years which was mainly performed in darkness.

On the whole, the performance when compared to previous years, felt more "compact" or less draggy in a sense. Maybe due to the setlist this time, especially the medley. The "mouikkai" shouting part was also surprisingly short. And also, no 5 minutes of teaching the audience the dance steps to CHULIP. LOL Laughing

I havent got around to watching Disc 2 though. Sneeze

I don't think I've said my opinions on the DVD.

I love the opening with her popping out of an inflated Earth, so cool. Tongue It's so wierd watching a concert while it's not dark though, it sort of put me off... to me live music and dark night goes hand in hand. Tongue

The concert wasn't that exciting... especially the first half, but props to her for doing songs she hasn't done before like Shabondama.

I LOVED the 2nd disc, singing in Chinese is awesome and her monotonous dragged out accent for mandarin while MCing was funny lol

^She hasn't and I doubt she ever will. Even at the height of her popularity she could not fill a dome. I like smaller venues for Ai anyway... LOVE COOK Tour DVD looked so meh.

Ohh... Such a pity, because Koda and Ayu both has held concert at Dome before...

Isn't Ai-Chin also one of the queens of Avex? Anyway hopefully one day, her popularity could match of Koda and Ayu...

However out of the three, I still think that Ai is the Best!

^ Ai an avex queen? I wouldn't say so. I would think that Ayumi Hamasaki still holds that position with an iron fist, probably BoA would also be in that range of popularity. Koda Kumi would probably be in Ai's ranks as well. I can't think of many others ...

Though it's funny, anytime someone mentions avex, people are often thinking "Ayu, Kuu-chan and Ai-chin" Tongue

BoA? I don't think so. She is pupular, but her CD Sales wasn't the best in the last time. Kumi's sales was dissapointing too. I think the Queens are Ayu and Namie Smile !

Like Crystallas i think BoA isn't one of a queen of avex !
When i hear queens i think Ayu ( for sure) and Namie too. Cause their sales are very good and their experience is bigger than experience of Ai-chin
I see Ai-chin like a princess but not like a queen. Smile

Yes... Princess! I do listen to Ayu's song but it was not as captive as Ai-Chin.

I felt that Ai-Chin is so unique that she is someone you will love at first sight and unforgettable. She may have start off late in her music career but isn't she the most educated? Haha, let me make a guess, she must have think that if she could not success in entertainment industry, she can go to be a teacher or some sort... From here I could tell that she a well-structured type of person. What attracted me is not only her looks but her talents, songwriter, composer, pianist, singer and a degree holder.

Back to topic anyway just hope that Ai-Chin will continue to produce good music and concerts and one day i will be fortunate enough to see her live =)
