Surprsingly I find myself a bit disappointed with the packing of the singles...
To make things worse, the special little card which most people thought it would be at least actually be signed (if not actually written by ink) by ai-chin herself but NOOOO...so I don't feel as special..and I feel been fooled by the use of words by Avex...
But nontherless I love the tracks...the packing just ruined my mood though..
Oh I agree with that. I hoped all the time, it would be signed by Ai... but yesterday i saw what you meant! But now i think, it's really naiv to believe that Ai-chin would signed all this cards by herself...avex did that to maximise sales figures, as they knew that many people would believe that. Nevertheless it's a nice idea,... but i can't read it...
But it's a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BEAUTYFULL SINGLE!
And that is most important!
And I like it, that the single comes with a alternativ cover (picture from the cd-dvd version) I don't like the cover from the anniversary version, so i can change this with the other amazing picture. *great*
Question:Can anybody translate the sentences from the card, please???? |

^ Just lettin' ya know, we're not fond of posts that abuse capital letters so please refrain from doing so in the future. I don't know how it is in Germany but it sounds very demanding in English and is the equivalent of shouting in text.
As for your request, since I have some time on my hands, I'll write one up before I go to bed.
Dear You,
It's been 5 years since I've been able to produce my own music. During that time, I have found and obtained many treasures and of course, it's not just my smile (that you gave me).
The me that is writing this letter to you now, was raised this way.
It's because you are reading this letter, because you listen to my music and support me that I wish to continue on with my music.
A million thanks.
I wish you all the happiness in the world.
From Otsuka Ai
The translation isn't 100% literal and is more based on my interpretation (I'm not entirely sure about who's smile she was actually referring to ) |

Thanks for the translation sljinu
@ june_22
Don't feel so bad about the capital letters. That's something that I guess I knew but didn't really know. Capital Letters would seem like shouting but I guess I really didn't see it that way
Now I wonder if I used excessive caps in some of my posts before |

@june_22: Nah don't worry about it, I was just letting you know that that's what they are like in English. If you wish to accent sentences, try using italics or bold print instead |

| Thanks a lot for the translation! anyway, like AiiR and june_22, I'm a little disapointed by the packing of the singles. For the special edition, I mean. Anyway, the songs and the booklet are beautiful. |

I just got around to unpackaging and listening to my copy of kurage, nagareboshi, due to me being away from home for two whole weeks. Its almost 20 days since the release date, but I think I still am gonna post about it.
I see many people complaining about the card, though I too share the same feelings but if you think about it, you cant possible expect ai-chin to personally sign on each card. I too hoped that the card would be more of a personalised thing, something you will find worthy of being in a limited edition package. Its being released on her 5th anniversary, Im sure many of us wanted something more. (special packaging?etc)
Tracks wise, kurage, nagareboshi really caught onto me. Its been awhile since I heard a new ballad from ai-chin I really liked. H2O feels a lot like Drop with a mix of rock element in it. Not too bad for a B-side. The new arrangement of LOVE MUSiC is another plus, imo it goes hand in hand with kurage, nagareboshi in a way.
On the whole I find this single great especially when I compare it with the previous single, rocket sneaker. (though the sales arent looking good ) I totally love the hairstyle and dressing in the PV, and somehow it has this uncanny resemblance to something which I cant recall..., the cover shots are nice, the PV and the song kurage, nagareboshi is awesome, maybe its just the "special" element that is lacking for a 5th anniv limited edition CD.
Also, I dont know if this has been posted before since Im always laggy in such news, but the video on ai-chin's official site has changed again since I last visited.
Where it used to be showing some footage of kurage, nagareboshi, instead when you now click on the shooting star, it will play a video of ai-chin playing the piano and singing different songs in each video (like kumuriuta, friends, love music, kurage nagareboshi) inside a studio. |
