Aww, it's kind of sad how this thread just died after the release of her album.
I personally like the album. It was pretty good for a debut album and so many new songs from her.
Anyways, found this article on Kanon Wakeshima, too bad I can't translate it but there's some pictures from her performance.
http://www.newsdigest.fr/newsfr/index.php?cucoaction[0]=edit&option=com_content&task=view&id=3078&Itemid=40&usg=__RFApO-el5AoTNMgFFxNCWqK7VTY=
Clips from her trip to Paris

This was Kanon's message to her fans on her MySpace page prior to going to Paris
Quote: I僧 thrilled to tell you that I値l visit Paris in February and I値l be
doing a special live event there! I値l also be doing an in-store event!
I can稚 even express how much I知 looking forward to going!! I致e always
wanted to go to Paris and now it痴 my first stop overseas! I知 overjoyed!
Please look forward to my events. Of course, I値l put my all into each and
every song for everyone~
Also, I知 learning as much French as I can before I go so I can try and say
a few things to you guys when I see you. Please look forward to that, as
well!? I値l try my best!
Lots of love!

^ yeah it has a little. I myself have been following what's going with her through her myspace and stuff it was a good debut, too bad potentially amazing songs like Shinku no Fatarhythm were so short. |

Yeah...this thread died nobody commented about the album or reviewed it.
I liked it a lot!! I thought it was going to be full of boring sounds that sound the same as still doll, but it resulted to be really good!..I can say it's one of my favorite albums ever
I love Shinku no Fatalism and Shiroi Kokoro. |

^ Me too! I enjoyed all the tracks, it was well-produced. As a debut album, it's one of the strongest albums I've ever heard. There wasn't a single song I disliked, and I really like listening to it back and forth. Her and alan both had wonderful debuts and I have high, high hopes for the both of them
Kanon is really cute live! She's dramatic and lively, and I feel like she's meant for a grander stage that what she has. |

I guess I'll review the album then
1. sweet ticket
- A slow introduction at the beginning but then the eerie noises came in and then I thought of a wintry marching bad. Very good representative of what the album had to offer. The 4th best introduction track I've ever heard after Mirror, 5-09a.m. and Misono Aji. 4/5
2. Shinku no Fatalism / Fatarhythm (真紅のフェータリズム; Deep Crimson Fatalism/Fatal Rhythm)
- An awesome track that reminds me of Kuroi Torikago. I thought the way she sang was )amazing, all this up and down shifting, and she also creates the best harmonizing background vocals I've ever heard! 5/5 (By the way I've seen some differing opinions on the romanazation of the title, Kanon Wakeshima uses Fatarhythm, so I will go with that.)
3. Kagami (鏡; Mirror)
- Eerie and waltzy, kind of makes me imagine a dark ballroom that spirits dance in. It's a great follow up to Fatarhythm nice and fast-paced. Her vocals are sweet and quiet, but in the chorus they absolutely explode with power. 5/5
4. still doll (album ver.)
- Not so different from the still doll single ver. and not much change. I didn't exactly find still doll to be an overly great song; my sentiments remain the same now. 3/5
5. Maboroshi (マボロシ; Phantom)
- It reminds me of mall music. It sounds sweet, but maybe the lyrics are much darker than I would've thought, you never know with Kanon . Overall I found this song rather nice, but a bit of a filler.... I didn't like the chorus is why, it sounded like a trainwreck to me 4/5
6. Ennui Kibun! (アンニュイ気分!; Bored Feeling!)
- Easily my favorite track on the album. It has all this cute synth and random percussion noises. The fact that it had very little strings caught me off guard, but it's still one of the best songs on the album. Once you get past the "aaa, aaaah, aaaaahh!!" part the song flows right into itself. 5/5
7. Suna no Oshiro (砂のお城; Castle of Sand)
- I loved this song since the beginning. It's so dark and eerie, and the lyrics are so thoughtful and deep. The way she whispers is so enchanting and really holds your attention. The chorus in turn DEMANDS your attention. All around great song that once again was TOO SHORT. 5/5
8. Monochrome frame
- This is one of the two songs I listened to least, and I don't know why I did. The strings are just so ethereal and enchanting and the way she sings is absolutely captivating. One of the better new songs on the album. 4/5
9. L'espoir - Mahou no Akai Ito - (L'espoir ~魔法の赤い糸~; Hope -Magical Red Thread of Fate-)
- An amazing song. The French at the beginning made the song sound so dark and yet romantic, the castanets added to it. I knew the song was about love from the start (the red thread of fate theory ). Overall a must hear from Shinshoku Dolce. 5/5
10. Kuroi Torikago (黒い鳥籠; Black Birdcage)
- God this song was seriously the highlight of the still doll single. It should have been a Kuroi Torikago single. The synth rhythm in this song is so amazing and the chorus just blows my mind. Still one of my favorite songs on the album, though its luster has worn off. 4.5/5
11. skip turn step
- A nice song, but a bit too boring. Ironic that the longest song on the album is so much instrumentation. It starts out boring and fades out boring too. The middle is best part, and that isn't saying too much ... 3/5
12. Shiroi Kokoro (白い心; White Heart)
- The piano is so mystical-sounding, but I'm afraid that's all the redeeming this song can have. It bores me to death, sadly. 2/5
13. sweet dreams
- To me it seems she relegated the more boring songs for the end. The whole orgel thing was good on the singles, but probably not the best choice for the album. I was expecting something like sweet ticket, but oh well. 1/5
Well that's my review. Overall one of the strongest debuts I've ever heard and coming from a young new artist, I hope she keeps it up. Overall 4.5/5
EDIT: thanks for the clips angel the still doll performance was CRAZY! reminded me of Ayu's Marionette. wow, I think I love her even more |

I'll review it too xD
1. sweet ticket
Since I heard the short preview in Kanon's website I'm in love with this song. The cello is awesome, the march drums give it a great sound. I simply love it!!!!
5/5
2. Shinku no Fatalism
This is my favorite song from the album. The cello sounds beautiful and Kanon's vocals are the best.
I also love the lyrics!!
5/5
3. Kagami (鏡; Mirror)
Another great song. The pizzicato strings give it an awesome mysterious tone.
5/5
4. still doll (album ver.)
This song is good...but I wonder why it was a single if the album tracks are 10000 times better xD
4/5
5. Maboroshi
The violin on this song is so great! This song is really catchy!
5/5
6. Ennui Kibun!
At the beggining I thought this song was weird but it has grown on me a lot.
The "Ahhhhh" part is very...hmm...I don't have words for it hahaha
4/5
7. Suna no Oshiro
This song has a dark tone that I completely love!!
The cello acompanies very well Kanon's vocals. I love her voice at the begining where she's almost whispering.
5/5
8. Monochrome frame
The strings of this song are enchanting!!! I'm transcripting this song to play on the violin.
The lyrics are also beautiful!!
5/5
9. L'espoir - Mahou no Akai Ito -
Her french pronunciation is cute haha...but I wouldn't recgonize it was french if I dind't see the lyrics
This is one of the best songs in the album.
5/5
10. Kuroi Torikago
I loved this song at the still doll single! but I don't listen to it so much with the new songs xD
I don't like her voice in this song..I don't know why...
4.5/5
11. skip turn step
I know how to play it on violin The instrumentation of this song is so beautiful!!
5/5
12. Shiroi Kokoro
This is my other favorite song in the album.
The piano is the best of the song....for some reason..this song makes me feel a strange emptiness in my heart xD...The lyrics are nice and the cello acompanies the piano so well!!
5/5
13. sweet dreams
This is a good ending for the album Sometimes I listen to it when I go to sleep.
It should have been shorter so it's not so boring
4/5
Ok...Overall I give this album 5/5
I hope Kanon keeps like this on her music (if she quits from her music career she can be a mangaka!! )
She's an instant favorite artist (after Ai Otsuka, of course xD) |

Yay! It looks all nice. I wonder what Kanon is going to do after this, now that the album's out...it'd be pretty tight if she had a concert and all... |

http://music-diary.at.webry.info/200908/article_7.html
... looks like Kanon Wakeshima is busy doing performance as various anime/manga conventions around the world (well mostly in France and US ...)
I wonder if the tattoo on her right arm are real or fake O.o |
