i don't where to actually post this question, since it's not really Ai News per se.
why is there an Encore, when it is already planned? my head is spinning.......
Dictionary: en·core
n.
1. A demand by an audience for an additional performance, usually expressed by applause.
2. An additional performance in response to the demand of an audience. |

| ^ you are obviously not familiar with the concept of contingency planning. artists can plan to perform an encore but there is no guarantee that it will be performed. it is up to the audience to demand it. now, you might say there is an extremely low chance that the audience will not demand an encore at one of Ai's concerts, and i agree with you. but the definitions of an encore you quoted and the planning of its performance are not inconsistent or contradictory. |

meh.. no disrespect to anyone, it's just that i thought it'll be more of a spontaneous thing, you see.
this comes after i watched the Love is Born DVD. it didn't seemed to me that the show has ended per se before the "encore" was done. i want to repeat that i mean no disrespect to anyone. i thoroughly enjoyed the whole 2hours worth of performance. |

| Yes. I hope she takes time to enjoy herself. From her output and schedule, it would seem that she hardly ever gets much rest. |
