| The PV is kinda pretty, I looks so kawaii with the red hut xD. And these drivers who didn't stop and take Ai-chin whis thema are so stupid... They don't know that Ai is a star... |

Few things about the PV come to my mind~
1. That westener not gentlemen enough! He let his doggie sit in front with him instead of Ai-chan. He let her sit behind the pick-up and expose to radiation which is bad for Ai's skin.
2. What I like the PV is the end that fella pull ai-chan up the truck... wahaha very old style romance~ I think I watch it many times somewhere before.
3. Why Ai-chan stuck in that highway? I dun see her car spoilt and park there as normally happen in movie (maybe avex dun have money to rent a car).... or maybe Ai-chan stuck there bcoz she drop out from car by her heartless boyfriend there... and bye-bye... no wonder ai-chan also throw a photo.. it mus be her ex photo.. bye bye
Ai is engaging in an act called hitch-hiking. Most commonly found in the Western hemisphere, it's when people (usually strangers) hold out their thumb in order to get a ride from someone in a car or any automobile on a highway, interstate, or road. The reason why Ai was sitting in the back was because the practice of hitch-hiking is often very dangerous to the driver. There has been numerous murders and other crimes committed by complete strangers who are "just looking for a ride". Again, it's also not safe to keep a pet in the back of a pick-up truck. If I'm correct, it's illegal in some states to keep any pets in the tow of a pick-up. Ai was also stuck on the highway because that's just a "common setting" for most hitch-hiking scenes. El Mirage Dry Lake is quite popular for its abundance of hitch-hikers seen along the main roads, especially during the summer months.
I hope that clears things up for you, Daniel Adi Putra. |

^ if it is not safe to keep a pet in the back of a pick-up truck, how about a person? it is alarmingly unsafe! this is definitely not allowed where i live.
i probably notice this more than others because here there is a high awareness of road safety. Victoria was the first place in the world to make wearing seat-belts and bicycle helmets compulsory, and now random roadside drug testing. |

| Well, the law states it's okay for a person (namely an adult) to sit in the back, given they're above the age of 18 in the U.S. and it's not in a populated area. (i.e. a country road is safer than being in the city as the number of drivers is significant and the ratio of bumper collisions is somehow lower). In some states, fines are given out if children and pets are caught alone in the back of the pick-up. The only exception is if there is two adults to sit on both sides of the child, but location applies here too. So, it would be comprehensible why Ai was sitting in the back, given the driver could tell she was above the legal age. |

the US is backward in road safety measures. i would not use their laws as a guide to what is safe. the last time i was in the US i saw passengers on motorcycles not wearing a helmet and was told this was allowed. it looked like they had a death wish to me.
as for country roads being safer, the speed is greater so it is more likely any accident will involve a fatality - especially for unrestrained passengers in the back. |

Well, what I believe is no matter what, people should always or at least act accordingly to the laws otherwise not only harm yourself but also other.
But... here, another suicide attempt in Ai's PV. Letting kid do that.. even though as love_cherry said its depend on how populated the area is. But still...
Seemed like Japan has llittle concern in safety as other countries does.... No wonder their Initial D so creative which out-of-human-logic-drift always come out... .
Wodui.. I forget bout Hitchhiking and stuff since in Malaysia I haven't saw any hiker but only free-loader.
But wahaha luckly Ai-chan didn't do this--->
---
Well after watch the PV in clearer version I found out the photo she throw is not a person pic but is a road... and regarding the front sit is occupied by the doggie... she can sit with the dog what? XD
Erm.. the only thing the PV bring in value is that it filmed at California... other than that.. less meaning contained there. Overall after all PVs after LOVE LETTER released I watched, all not as interesting as Happy days, Neko ni fussen, Planetarium, CHU-LIP, and Frienger.
-Planetarium I like the most is the part "Sore wa - Sore wa" then a wind blow to Ai...
-Neko ni fussn is at the end she die... cool~ quite scary.
-Frienger is the oukei-oukei and xexe~
-Happy days is when Ai roll out from car~
-CHU-LIP is the sperman out from a hole(?)
Edit:
Oya, thanks love_cherry. I didn't know that a thumb up is the international symbol for Hitchhiking. Thanks for telling me... I always though its a random hand sign only... |

lol on Ai fat comments.. =p i'd personally take her as she is..
niway, i think we have to overlook the fact that the polaroid was taken with a, gasp, normal film camera. i think polaroid cameras are just ugly and not nice together with the PV...
I've only watched it once. taking the PV as a whole, with her taking the pic, then throwing it away and she having to (apparently) stay out by the roadside through the night, it's then makes alot of sense that she'd say Bye Bye to the past.
the past as in that she kinda like the long winding road of the past, pretty lonely, but she seemed pretty fond of it. thus the picture taking, and her keeping it as a bookmark. now that she's taking a turn on things, what with her theme of "Love Everyone" and "Be Strong" theme in her recent songs, she's somehow saying that she's past her discovery stage, into a new phase of her life.
well that's my piece of mind on that PV + song. great track, nice vid. though i must say that if i'm american, and i were to see a stranded JAPANESE FEMALE out on her own by the highway, erm.. i'd be puzzled. |
