| i just heard of judy and mary recently from my classmate who listen to jrock and stuffs and i think they're pretty kewl too. thats kewl ai is going to be on there tribute album. |

Humm.. I have to say this is actually the worst Song from Ai. I don't like the song and especially the refrain is abortive  ... I wait for her next Single and hope the song is better than LOVER SOUL! |

well, i gotta say... i was hoping for something better than this. 
she could've spiced it up a little, i like the JUDY AND MARY version better.
i liked the idea of making a piano version of it, but it was too slow and too... whiny or something. felt a lot sadder than the original version. she could've made it beautiful without doing that.
sorry to say, but i didn't like it much at all. and i like the song.
Over Drive, Happy? and Sobakasu were more my cup of tea. |

....I don't know what to think. I decided to learn Japanese after hearing JUDY AND MARY, they are iconic in J-music but Ai Otsuka singing "LOVER SOUL"? I have to hear the entire version. It sounds like she is taking the rock ballad that "LOVER SOUL" is and just making a plain piano ballad. Surprised since she knows Kohta(the drummer from JAM) she didn't do a cover song WITH him, or one of the songs he wrote while in JAM...
I do prefer Ai's ballads, but her voice may have been better for one of JAM's more silly pop songs. Like "Cheese "PIZZA"" (find it on YouTube. You'll see what I mean) I'm buying the entire album this weekend so I'll say how I really feel then. |

| This plain piano version reminds me of LOVE LETTER. Any idea if the piano arrangement is by who? I liked the starting, with Ai starting so softly and gently, a bit like whispering. |

I just listened to Ai's version of LOVER SOUL.
I have to say that I find it really pleasing and soothing.
Both versions are nice. |
