星くず - Stardust -
Romaji:
Umino youni
tsumetaku natte
shiroi sono tewo
hanashitaku nai
konoude nonaka
tojikomete itai
mousono hitomini
utsuranakutemo
kimini hanashitai
kyouno konoyoruno hoshinokoto
hohoenda mama
tsumetaku natte
shiroi ikiga
kirino youni
kimini agetai
kyouno konoyoruno hoshikuzuna
ashitaniwa barabarato
haini natte haini natte
haini natte hoshitonaru?
kimini hanashitai kyouno kono
yoruno hoshinokoto
Translation:
In ocean of the sea
It is becoming cold
White like the hand
We would not let you go
In this arm
Being shut in, is too painful
Already in the eye
Even without moving
We would like to release you
To the stars of this evening
While you smile
It is becoming cold
White breath
Like the fog
We want to lift you like the
Stardust of this evening
Tomorrow it will be scattered
Becoming ashes, becoming ashes
Becoming ashes, does it become the star?
Today this is when we would like to release you
To the ocean of stars

* I've encountered problems when translating "はなしたくない" becuase it could mean "to speak" or "to let go" so I chose "to let go" becuase it sounded suitable. I am wrong hopefully someone will correct me. Thanks. |

Great job on the lyrics and translation usopp! Hoshikuzu is one of my favourite Ai's song, it's so beautiful, both the lyrics and the melody.
Definitely one of her best ballad after Kingyo Hanabi. |

I agree. The song is so beautifully sung and the guitar is a great touch to the song. It should be a single that is what I think.
Btw, yeah Iam sure Hoshikuzu means stardust. |

I hope you don't mind me posting here, but I have my own interpretation of the lyrics. It's a little different
You have become cold like the sea
I don't want to let go of your white hands
I want to keep on holding you
Your eyes have already lost their glow
I want to tell you about the beautiful starry sky tonight
You had remained smiling as you became cold
My white breath is like mist
I want to give to you tonight’s stardust it's so beautiful
Tomorrow you will become ash
You will become ash!
You will become ash!
Will you become a star?
I want to tell you about the beautiful starry sky tonight
This song kind of reminded me of Daisuki da yo, anyone else? I think this song also has something to do with Ai loosing someone close to her? |

| Those lyrics are soooo profound... In daisuki dayo she didn't really lose that person didn't she? He was just really really sick and she was afraid of losing him but in hoshikuzu that person is already dead right? |

at daisuki dayo the person is dead actually
it says at the start that its getting "colder and colder" meaning he died and gradually the body was losing the warmth
both songs are about teh same thing i think, even about the same person considering its an actual experience |

| Nope, I'm pretty sure that the person the songs are about is dead already in both songs. |
