It’s the Battle of the Pop: Asia vs Asia!
Prepare yourselves for the ultimate musical showdown. In this second edition of Battle of the Pop we’re putting the very best of Asia up against each other for the Channel [V] Pop Star Throne. We know just how much you love the fresh Asian pop sound and so we’re giving you the chance to decide who the ultimate Asian sensation is! Big Bang vs Tohoshinki, Lollipop vs Farenheit, News vs Super Junior, S.H.E. vs Wonder Girls – Can you choose sides between the best of the best?
As Asia’s top music acts square off, viewers can vote for who rocks their world by logging on to http://www.channelv.com/ . Join the battle by selecting your favorite artists from each country and telling us why they are the best in the pop world. We’ll tally up the votes and show you who reigns superior in the Battle of the Pop Asian Edition with special back-to-back music videos only on Channel [V].

In the first round, it is Otsuka Ai vs Stefanie Sun.

She's a famous singer from Singapore. I was surprised when I see 2 of my favourite artists. Stefanie Sun plays the piano very well too, and has a powerful vocal. She composes some of her songs, but they were not my taste. Her other songs were much better than her self-composing songs.
I voted for Ai since I feel that she's more talented and has a brighter personality. She is herself in front of the camera and her fans!

EDIT : I think Ai will be against Utada Hikari. It will be hard for her to win... |

Naturally, I voted for Ai-chin, and probably would have anyways even if I knew who Stefanie Sun was...  (...the video they put for Ai-chin was 360°! and there are very few songs to me that are better than 360°.  )
But, I hope it's actually Ayumi Hamasaki vs. Utada rather than Ai vs. Utada... I think Ayu vs. Utada is more fair, since I think that their music is more similar to each other's. Ai's got a different style than they do!  |

| Well if you see the battles, you'll see Ai'll win against Stefanie Sun, after that, she will be again Tanya Chua (according to the number of vote for the moment), and then she'll fight Utada or Ayumi, it depends who will win between Ayumi and Utada. |

HUHHHHH? Ayu and Utada don't even have the same style, you're just relating their record-breaking sales more than style >.>
This is badly placed...Ayu vs Namie Amuro? Pop vs Hip Hop? ...especially for some of the singer's age and nationality. Can't compare BoA with Jolin, that's like comparing a hollywood star to a hobo ever since BoA has made her debut in the US. RAIN and Aaron Kwok might be dance kings, but Aaron is already at his age and is barely even active nowadays. |

| Well, the first round is ending today and I'm pretty shocked at the sudden surge of votes Stefanie got. Anyway I think overall, Dongbangshinki / Tohoshinki will win this year. |
