Wiki on Bonnie Pink
Discography
- work in progress (I'll edit this when I feel I have compiled everything properly)
Personal Recommendations:
If you have never heard of Bonnie Pink before nor her music I would highly recommend her "Every Single Day -Complete BONNIE PINK(1995-2006)-" album because the first disc features materials from her early days (back when she first debuted) and the second disc. features her more recent material.
- My favorite single to this day has been "Last Kiss"
- Album(s) wise, currently I recommend "Even So" and "Thinking Out Loud" (keep in mind, I'm biased and do prefer her more current/recent material)
- Her latest DVD is for the TOUR in 2007 "Thinking Out Loud" Final at 日本武道館. Unfortunately, it's her only Live DVD I've watched, though I would recommend it. Great concert overall.

BONNIE PINK THREAD!!! YAAAAAY!!! (why didn't i make one earlier.... )
she's my #1 last.fm artist! probably a lot because the immense number of songs she's got, i got 200 and i don't have them all... that's even more than all the morning musume songs i've got.
i really like the new single. the PV for Joy is really nice. i like the idea. strangely enough, with it being a double A side single, i actually like the B side song "You and I" the best, lol.
and i can't wait for the album. 14 songs of which i've heard 3.5 before... sounds great.
i had a very strong feeling that Try Me Out and Princess Incognito would show up on the album since otherwise they'd be released as singles. and i haven't heard Fed Up yet, gonna be interesting.
i also loved her Thinking out loud concert DVD, i really recommend it.
edit: oh, and i just gotta post this here too.
that's me at the photo shoot location for Thinking out loud. |

^Wait, what's the third song you've hear unless your counting the bonus track ...
Fed Up is out as a digital single on Japan iTunes, I've only been able to find a snippet of it but have yet to track down a full song.
I'm dying to hear Princess Incognito, it's an interesting title, so I'm curious as to what the lyrics will be like and the arrangement of the song.
Like both of you, I can't wait for her new album. And I also hope that they'll come out with a live DVD for her Tour "One" |

^ thanks for the news! Over an hour of Bonnie Pink music, I'm getting excited for this album as it get closer to the release date *_*
Fed Up has leaked and if you know me, you'll know where to find it.
I didn't like Fed Up at first since I like "All The Way" a lot more. I still like "All The Way" more but "Fed Up" has grown on me and it's usually a song I play when I get ready for work in the morning XD
Oh yea and she was also on a recent episode of Music Station (the same episode as alan' first appearance on Music Station. I'm waiting for this episode to air on NHK ... but it is available on JPS |

ONE debuted at #4.
same as Thinking Out Loud did. #1-#3 had sold 9.9k, 8.8k and 7.2k respectively. so hopefully, BP isn't too far behind that.
and there's a torrent up on JPS (which unfortunately isn't fully seeded yet...)

now i'm going to go to sleep. this will certainly be good to make me get out of bed tomorrow, hehe. ^^ |

I ordered the album 2 days ago. I'm quite excited for this album. I loved both the singles coming into this album, Pump It Up! is the best! Too bad it's not on there, but good she doesn't put B-sides on albums all the time. You & I was the standout track from the last single too. |

I just heard the whole album a couple hours ago, lovin' it!
I still don't think it's as good as "Even So" and I've heard some people say this album is as "cohesive" as "Thinking Out Loud" because there were various producers for different songs vs that album but I still enjoy it very much. It's going on my mp3 player for sure and I can't wait till my physical copy arrives.
Hopefully album sales will be decent for this one, nice to see debut in the top 5. There's definitely good songs on here. |

i also enjoyed it, it's a good album. it's not as good as her three latest albums (not counting CHAIN or Reminiscence...), though, imo, which also happens to be my three favourites. i love Pump It Up!, so i was hoping for some electro music in the album, and there was some, which was nice. i dunno why, but i didn't get any wow feeling listening to any of the new songs, not saying i dislike any of them (Sweet remains as the only BP song i've heard and don't like).
among the new songs i think my favourites would have to be Won't Let You Go, 妄想LOVER, PLAY & PAUSE and Himitsu. but i guess i haven't listened through the album enough to give a just opinion.
Himitsu's intro also sounded like it was taken directly from Boku ja nakatta nara (from Just A Girl). very alike, though not quite as much as when i heard Kings of Convenience's song Homesick and thought that they were playing a cover of Sixpence None the Richer's Tension is a Passing Note...
i'm probably going to put this album on repeat and listen to it too many times for my own good as i've done with so many other ones before.
edit: on second thought... i'm gonna add Quiet Life to the list of BP songs i don't like. never liked the way she sang in that one... |

Bonnie Pink is one of my favorite singers. I love her "Thinking out loud" Album so much, it's in my Top 10 of my favorite albums . My favorite song is "Sakamichi". Unfortunately I can't stand her old stuff, my love begins from the "Even So" Era ! |

Me too! Although when I listen to her best of album (Every Single Day -Complete Bonnie Pink (1995-2006)-), there's a few oldies of her's that I've grown fond of. On the other hand, even then I still like the second disc of that album more haha. |
