hmm, does this apply to any movie ... like across the board, so Western movies and Asian movies?
If so
Japan
- Nodame Cantabile - it's not out till 2010 ... but I can't wait and I know they're in the process of shooting it right now. I believe they may still be in Vienna. I've been waiting for this since the end of the Nodama Cantabile special. Apparently this will the be last live-action installment. It'll probably have an original ending since the actual manga isn't going to be done until just right before the movie is released in theaters. On the other hand, I'm not sure how much they've been consulting the mangaka in regards to this movie
Taiwan
- Black & White - interested in seeing where the director will take the story, since I enjoyed the series a lot. There's definitely still unanswered questions after the series so I'd like to see them answered. Hope they take the fights and action to another level with a even higher budget
Mainland China
- Mulan - OMG I cannot wait for this movie Vicki Zhao Wei is playing Mulan and I feel she's totally suited for this role. I cannot wait to see the movie. Though it's not coming out in China till the end of the year
Western Movies
- Ugly Truth - it's coming out on Friday ... hopefully I can arrange to see it next week. Can't wait. they've been promoting this movie for some time now, I cannot wait to see it, it looks like it'll be a funny chick flick |

the movies i'm looking forward to are not really in a nearly finished state, but anyhow...
as above, i'm also longing for the release of the Nodame Cantabile movie(s?). as it's probably my favourite j-drama ever, it's pretty understandable.
another one i've been hearing news about being made is The Elfstones of Shannara, and being a big fan of that series, i'm eagerly awaiting news of this one getting started at. its IMDb page says release year is 2009, which of course is total rubbish...
and yet another release far in the future i'm looking forward to is James Cameron's Battle Angel, which is a screen adaption of Yukito Kishiro's manga series Gunnm. together with its sequel it's probably my favourite manga ever. it's said to be released sometime in 2011, but i wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed even more. this one is despite that probably the one i'm looking forward to the most... i mean, it's James Cameron doing my favourite manga! |

^yep there's a trailer on Youtube and some Behind the Scenes too.
Japan
- adding Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu to the list. Actually it'll be coming out in a couple of days from now. It'll be a new movie featuring Inoue Mao (love her acting) as the female lead. Don't really know the male lead that well but he's pretty hot. It is also directed by the guy who did Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (which is one of my favorite love story movies) so I'm super stoked for this movie. The trailers are on the official site and i like what I see so far.
US
- The Lovely Bones. Adored the book, so I can't wait for this movie. From the trailers, it looks like it could be good, so we'll see. |

Zombieland looks quite interesting. I watched the trailer and it looks pretty much like a movie version of the game, Left 4 Dead and seeing as how I got absolutely addicted to that game...I'd really like to see the movie The fact that it's comedy orientated makes it seem more appealing, I wouldn't be into it if it was just gore. |
