My problem... have DVDs I want to copy and then upload for others. Copying on to my computer is fine, but when I play the video there are no subtitles, to access them when you put the DVD into a regular player, on the main menu you go to the subtitle options and pick English. But when you copy the DVD on to the computer, it has no idea that you want to also have subtitles ... noticed this as I was watching an episode, luckily my Japanese is a bit better where I didn't notice until 10 minutes were gone,(there was little talking) then I broke down crying when I realized I already copied and uploaded 4 episodes! Anyone out there ever have a similar problem or maybe know how to fix it or where to go to get help...I could really use any help, thanks in advance for any help!
HEY Kashi, save some Pino for the person that can help hitomi!!!!

| I'm no expert on the matter having never done it before, so you may want to wait for someone more informed, however there is a guide for ripping just the subtitles here. |

Think I'll try it out, it's late here, but first thing tomorrow, looks easy, but for me they are always the easiest to mess up! Thanks, I'll order more Pino!
EDIT-Stayed up too late, tried that subvox but it didn't work, left the question in their forum, hopefully that will help. The main problem I may have is that it's not one file like a movie would be it's a TV show so it's 4 files. Oh well, it takes a while sometimes, but things always seem to work out. |

Which program do you use to rip the DVD?
I use DVD Decrypter, and it has the option to rip out the subtitle along with the video. If you don't want to rip those video files again, you can try to rip just the subtitle file and have people use it as a SRT file. |

I also have DVD decrypter, works well, didn't know it could do that with subs. Just installed VLC, I can watch the files with subs, gives you the option of which language you want. Have been using Media Player Classic 3.2.1 up until now to watch things, works well, never needed to find subs, almost always music videos, thanks for the advice, I'll try that out. |
