The thread title begs the simple question: who here fancies themselves as singer? Come on, I know you whistlers and belters and crooners are all hiding out there in Ch-Ai-land. Share with us, what do you like to sing? What kind of songs do you think you're best at singing? And the dreaded question...what do you think of your own voice? And if you wanna link us to a sample of your singing, then feel free to!

I personally love to sing all kinds of songs, slow ones, fast ones, really weird ones, it's all cool. But, I think my voice is best suited to slower and mid-paced songs, as I cannot sing fast at all. I always love to challenge myself, and so I sing along to alan Laughing. I don't think my voice is that great, but I will go so far as to say that I can hold notes for a long time (and then usually I die on the next line Tongue). What about everyone else?

I wouldn't call myself a "singer" but I enjoy singing, my voice isn't the best, though Embarassed . I can't play an instrument so I use J-Pop/Rock Instrumentals and write my own lyrics for them. It's a lot of fun Boogie !

Well, you all know that I like to sing Laughing
I also love singing all kind of songs, I prefer faster and more rockish songs, but I also love ballads.
I'm a tenor and can reach high notes but kinda have problen with lower notes Blank stare

I actually hate my voice but everybody says "OMG! you sing well" so I suppose I sing well... Laughing
I'm not out of pitch but I don't like the tone of my voice No

I'm gonna record some covers of songs in a while, I haven't had so much time to record xD

@Koda: I've heard you sing. Your voice is good Nod

Thanks, Rodri Smile

I'd like to think that anyone has the power to sing, especially if they try. People who say they can't sing probably haven't tried, or probably just don't believe in themselves. It only takes 1 bad comment to make 10 good comments seem like nothing, after all No

^That's actualy true.
Many people tinks that singing is something that you are born with. But the truth is that anyone can sing with the apropriate technique.
It just takes to practice and get your ear trained to sing, the main problem of people who sings "bad" is that they don't have a good ear..but hard study and practice can fix it. Nod

I love singing a lot.
I don't really know my "level" about my voice. I'm too shy to sing in front of ppl, so I keep that for myself lol.
I don't think my voice is great or bad.. I don't know lol ^_^'

I don't think my voice is so bad, but i'd prefer it to be more girlish. It's too low-pitched. I like singing all kinds of songs, fast and slow, high, or low-pitched. The question is "Do others like to listen to it?" Laughing I don't know, because I'm singing only when I'm alone at house. I sometimes record my singing. Maybe someday I will post it here Tongue

^There's nothing wrong on singing low, there's different types of voices. You could be a "contralto", and there's only few females who can reach that register Smile consider that you're special xD

Female voices:
Highest: Soprano
Mid: Mezzo-soprano
Lowest: Contralto

Male voices
Highest:Tenor
Mid: Baritone
Lowest: Bass

My teacher says I'm a tenor xD, I would also like to record and post here but my microphone is terrible Shifty Laughing

@ pamagirly7 you have a very pretty voice!

I only like to sing when I'm alone at home or in my office. Too embarrassed to sing when people are around me. I would describe my singing like a mother singing to her child Not horrible, tolerable at most but definitely not performance material. I use to have an mp3 singing Maaya Sakamoto's Vector but my PC has gone through so many reformat and updates that I don't know if I still have that file,
