I think 6 is actually "Akizakura", and it's a revival of a song from their first indies album, "Makoto ni Senetsu.....". I'm excited for the new songs, minus that one Tongue "Akizakura" was quite a boring song, but I do hope, like "Natsu Koi" it turns out much better on the album Smile

The new cover is even less interesting than "My song Your song"... but man, they look good Laughing

Haha, "Hajimari no Uta" is exactly the same amount of characters as "Ikimonogakari". They did the same thing with "Koisuru Otome" (and even that one was in all Katakana too) ... yes, random observation, I know Laughing

Why would the DVD have a PV for "Uruwashiki Hito", though (also the same length as "Ikimonogakari" in Japanese letters....Giggle) ?

@Koda: I'm not sure about that. 秋 means "Aki" and 桜 means "Sakura", but together it means "Kosumosu".

Romaji + Translations of the new tracklist Wink:

CD
01. Hajimari no Uta ~ Tooi Sora Sunde ~ [The First Song ~The clear sky is so faraway~]
02. Yumemidai [Dream Stage]
03. Joyful
04. YELL
05. Nakumonka [I won't cry]
06. Mahiru no Tsuki [Midday Moon]
07. Hotaru no Hikari [Light of the Fireflies]
08. Kosumosu [Cosmos] / Akizakura [Cherryblossoms in Fall]
09. Futari [Us]
10. Tenohira no Oto [Sound of the Palm]
11. How to make it
12. Mirai Wakusei [Future Planet]
13. Ashita e Mukau Kaerimichi [The way back towards tomorrow]

DVD:
01. Kimagure Romantic
02. Uruwashiki Hito
03. Blue Bird
04. Kokoro no Hana wo Sakaseyou
05. Kaerita Kunatta Yo

The new tracklist is so much better, but why do they put old clips on the DVD Confused?

^ I believe it goes either way Tongue I'm getting both "kosumosu" and "akizakura", but I much prefer "Akizakura" Giggle Anyway, thanks for the new tracklist romanizations. Still looking forward to this album Smile

Alright I thought about it some more (the whole "Hajimari no Uta" being the same amount of characters as "Ikimonogakari" thing) and I realize they did it throughout their career...

いきものがかり - Ikimonogakari
コイスルオトメ - Koisuru Otome
いろはにほへと - Iroha ni Ho he To
うるわしきひと - Uruwashiki Hito
ホタルノヒカリ - Hotaru no Hikari
プラネタリウム - Planetarium
ライフアルバム - Life Album
ハジマリノウタ - Hajimari no Uta

There a couple others that have seven-character titles, but those were probably just coincidences. These ones probably weren't. Anyway, yes, random observation of the day from me... Tongue They're so crafty, but they can't escape me Evil

Ah, I want this album. YELL/Joyful was such a good single! Love But I can't run around buying a bunch of CDs right before Christmas. So I guess it'll have to wait.

I'm excited for this album too Smile. I hope they new tracks are better as the new tracks from "My Song Your Song", because I thought this album was a bit boring Blank stare. And the thing with the seven-character titles is interesting as well, they are so creative Boogie.

Ikimonogakari has been chosen to do both the theme song and the insert song for the movie adaptation of "時をかける少女". The theme song for this movie is "ノスタルジア", previously released during their indies days, while the insert song is none other than the same titled original theme song to the 1983 movie version of "時をかける少女" (written and composed by Matsutoya Yumi and originally sung by Harada Tomoyo).

Yes, I listened to it earlier today. Crystallas sent me the link Giggle It's actually a really good album, despite there being too many ballads and mellow tracks. I like how the tracks were placed Smile

I'm listening to it right now and I too am enjoying it. I agree that the tracks seem to be well placed. This album flows well. I think even more so than their 3rd album.

I have to say that "Hajimari no Uta" is probably my favorite album from Ikimonogakari up to date Love. Even though "Sakura Saku Machi Monogatari" is still an awesome debut, I overplayed it and I'm a bit tired of songs like "Ryuusei Miracle" or "Koisuru Otome" Sneeze. Their 4th album is very fresh and flows well. Their is a good balance between faster songs and ballads (7 ballads and 6 faster songs, which is very suprising Surprised. I thought we get 10 ballads and 3 Up-Tempo songs, haha Laughing). Definitely one of my favorite albums from 2009 and a big step forward after their dissapointing 3rd album "My Song, Your Song" No.

@Sakura: They have a lot of movie tie-ins lately. First Nakumonka and now Nostalgia. I kinda wish they'd do a new song though because their indie songs weren't all that great (except Karakuri Love)

EDIT: I edited the discography post with more detail.
