Gazing into a crystal ball....
she's entering an "Ero-" era....
Heart, Kimi-Fetchi, OnexTime, AisuxTime...
it'll be fun, sexy, many jazzed up, some funky, and all ero!
of course, she'll have those "dark" songs here and there too...
(can i also add: this is also due to observations from her recent live dvds... she looks... devilishly naughty...) |

I hope not. I mean, few songs like this make complementary with her whole work, but I would not like her to start doing this type of songs only. I don't want her to be another "I'm popular, because I'm sexy" star This kind of stuff solds better, but I love Ai-chin for her originality, not for sales. Of course I like her mature songs, but I also love her sweet and funny ones. Anyway, It's her decision, and I will love her no matter what style of music will she decide to do |

tsk tsk tsk.. not fair.. you chose to selectively delete some of my words! i said it'll be fun and jazzy and funky too!
if it turns out to be true, and that it's a personal choice rather than anything commercial, don't say i didn't warn you... |

What that attracted me to Ai-Chan is because her songs are always so inspiring and full of meaning.... I mean her songs are that type that can make me cry and laugh...
Of course, i miss her early hits like Daisuki dayo, Planetarium, Renai Shashin... And definitely those Genki-full hits like Smily, Sakuranbo, Frienger.... Maybe before Love PiECE era (2003-2007) Yah, Definately, these years determined Ai-Chan position as Ai am BEST... (Actually, I only come to know of Ai-Chan in Aug 2008, haha, hardly any advertisement of Ai in SG, if not for youtube, i probably will miss out such a talented artist.) If u say Love at first sight, I think that what its means...
However after Love PiECE, I found that Ai-songs are less "Kawaii", its more funky and jazzy (as cabal said), of course she still produced impressive Ballads... But recently she has been producing lesser... her last single (Bye-Bye) was actually a re-cut, so from Feb 09 till Now, she only have one new song "Is", as compared to 4 singles/per year previously, maybe Ai-Chan is getting tired... This two years she has been touring for concerts and it is like never ending... (Pls Avex Trex can give our dear Ai-Chan some rest, so she can continue to produce great music?)
Anyway, i already an Ai-Addict, so no matter what she decide, I will be there to support her... haha |

<Reflection mode due to listening to her songs while doing school project>
i think that her direction is more towards her own from now on. that is, not much of experimentation anymore. her voice these days are much more consistant, i think. much more "Rich" sounding compared to the first 3 albums. which suits her singing ballads, jazz and those chill out songs.
i play her songs on random almost everyday while i ride to school, and while studying. Today this order came around: Momo no Hanabira, Futatsu Boshi Kinenbi (new version), Kimi Fetchi, Natsu Sora, Love Letter, Ticket and Planetarium.
i can't think of a better bunch of songs that "defines" her proper these days.
your thoughts? |
