- Lela has a condition known as Anthropophobia which means she hasn't done any public appearances or performances to promote her music. I am not exactly sure if she was born with this phobia or what caused it but I'm sure it is brought up in the documentary I posted ... Regardless, she has a really unique voice and has it seems her style is ethereal pop rock. Hopefully she'll come out with more music in the future. |

I saw her in Lex's (beyond the sea-Blog) 2009 review 1 week ago and I listened to her mini album. She has a pretty good voice and I like her overall style, she reminds me of Rurutia . I hope she'll come out with more music, because someone told me that the album wasn't even in the Top 100, is that right ? |

^ that is where I found out about her too.
I'm not sure I don't think it sold that well. But a lot of Japanese news site and even Japanese blogs were talking about her during the release of this album. I think Yahoo Japan was saying she was the Enya of Japan O.o
She has a lot of potential but it's hard to do any promotions or marketing with her condition so I dunno if she'll be able to make it far in the music industry. I like her music though, so I hope she'll come out with more stuff. |

yeah, that phobia + a music career isn't really a good combination. i guess we could hope that she recovers from it. the song and PV were pretty nice, though it annoyed me that i couldn't see what the text said all the time. |

She's coming out with a second mini album at the end of June
受胎の月 (Jukai no Tsuki)
OUT June 23, 2010
Track list
1. 受胎の月
2. 月光(鬼束ちひろカヴァー)
3. snow fairy
4. 空~カラカラ~
5. 国
6. 紫陽花
7. 樹海の月
8. 時間
9. 樹海の月~traditional folk version~
Track list looks interesting. Can't wait to hear the songs. It's too bad she's not too well known. She's got such a hauntingly beautiful voice.
But if anyone is interested, it is up for pre-order on CDJ |

She really seems to like to use to the word moon in her titles =)
I hear the theme might about death in this album because her grandmother is currently really ill.
Oh and the cover is out

The mini album is out.
Thoughts?
I personally like it. I was expecting something darker because of what others have said about her circumstances during the writing of the album. But the album is relatively upbeat.
I think the only song that I'm not totally a fan of 月光. This is actually her cover of Chihiro's 月光 ... I am sorry lela but Chihiro wins hands down in terms of having the more powerful version. And I don't like the new arrangement of this song ... |
