I have been wanting to make this thread for a long time now. I know there are a few fans here.
Hopefully I can do a real OP later on but I'm being slaughtered by papers, projects and personal life at the moment. However I came across this article today and I just have to talk about her (Maaya's) upcoming best album.
Maaya is known for being a seiyuu and her most recent major voice acting role is as Lighting in Final Fantasy XIII. I posted this in the Sayuri Sugawara thread but this has a Maaya interview when they were promoting FFXIII.

Yay for a Maaya thread! I like her music, even though I just listened to her "Kazeyomi"-album. I love her vocals a lot. They are nothing special,but they are nice. Her lyrics are pretty good too, especially "Shitsuren Cafe" ("Heartbreak Cafe")  !
Unfortunately I don't like her last single "Magic Number" that much, but I look forward to her best-of, even though there is just one new song. Maybe I'll download the first disc too. |

Hmm I guess the gist of the article is this

I guess RoundTable is doing the arrangement for her cover?
She's collaborated with Kitagawa Katsutoshi (1/2 of RoundTable) in the past since he composed "Get No Satisfaction" and "MAGIC NUMBER"
I can't wait for the live concert DVD that is coming out soon-ish.

I really like her voice, but haven't heard too many of her original songs yet.
I remember her mainly from "Vision of Escaflowne"
Also worth pointing out she voiced Aerith in "FF7: Advent Children"  |

DOWN TOWN PV is out!
Her live DVD is great! I love it to pieces. One of the best live concerts I've seen ... love to see a concert in Budakon one day.
Hmm according to Natalie she is releasing a new album on January 12, 2011. And doing another tour in March of 2011. I hope this will go on DVD too!
