I was talking to sakuraangel about this early and it seems to be an interesting topic Smile

So what child are you? I'm a middle child, with an older brother and younger sister Smile

My totally unbiased opinion is that the middle child is the best Tongue Not bossy or bullying like the eldest child, nor a spoiled baby like the youngest Tongue Also, being in the middle makes a good peacemaker, since the youngest and eldest are always fighting and it is up to the middle to settle the problems Laughing Laughing

im an only child... wish i had an older brother... Sad or maybe a younger brother/sister ... i would have them brainwashed and a mini version of me.. Giggle

but im similar to Flint in the aspect that i am the peace maker between my two double cousins (that are sisters), one is 6 years older than me and the other is 4 years younger. needless to say.. im the one that usually walks away with bloody scratches and missing hair on rare occasions (when we were younger) Tongue but they are sisters to me. they are my best friends and i can count on them for anything Smile

I am the third of 4. An older sister of 4 years, older brother of 2 and younger brother of 5 years. It kind of sucked for me cause my big brother and I always fought and I always lost Mad
Actually, I got the best out of him when he got out of shape. We were camping and somehow came to blows. I got in a few good shots and put him down, then took off and hid in the woods for a while. By the time I got back, he was enjoying some beers and had no more fight in him. Boogie That was many years ago. I was about 17 or so. That was the last punch I'd ever thrown, come to think of it.

I was much nicer to my younger brother and there was such a gap in our age, so it was nothing of a sibling rivalry. Good thing, too, because now he is 6'2" 210 lbs and very fit. I am 5'11" and about 192 lbs and also very fit, but I'd be no match for Shawn in wresting or strength things.. I would; however, demolish him in table tennis. Laughing

My older sister and brother kind of wore my parents out, so I had it easy when I was in my late teens. My behavior was better than their's, and I got way more leeway for these reasons. Giggle

The fact is that they all still live back east and I haven't seen any of them since I was back for my Mom's funeral in 9/2008. I haven't seen them more than 6-7 times since leaving home for Hawaii when I was 18, but we stay in touch mostly through Facebook, now.. Sneeze

I'm the youngest with one older brother but I'm also the peacemaker of the family. I'm more of a middle child because I almost was a middle child XD

I get to be peacemaker between my parents it's wonderful (lot of sarcasm in that statement).

I have a book that talks about birth order and it even gets gender specific and how depending on the birth order of the couple, whether they'll likely get along or not.

For example, the oldest child of the family might not have a good relationship with another person that is also an oldest child (I'm referring to significant other/spouse relationship) because they might both have bossy personalities. Laughing

Maybe some day I'll start quoting the book.

I'm the oldest child in my family. My younger brother is 5 years younger than me, and as a result, we never talk that much except when we're both in the car. We have pretty much none of the same interests, but I like to pick on him 'cause his friends are really annoying Tongue

Same here ... although it's the reverse. My brother and I are also five years apart. I'm more Westernized than he is, he's more traditional. It's like there's an invisible generation gap between us or something. We only semi get along because of computers and video games. But he can be annoying because he likes to intrude into my life. Some days I do wish we had a better relationship. Then again I feel like I can't tell him anything because he'll turn right around and tell my parents XD

Hmmm, my brother is 4 years older than me, and my sister is 4 years younger than me. I get along with both of them quite well, especially my sister Smile Smile
I've pretty much forced all my interests onto my sister Laughing Laughing She watches the same animes, tv shows, plays the same games, and reads the same books as me Laughing Laughing The only interest we don't share is musical tastes Tongue Tongue shes really into metal Laughing but we do both like soundtracks / orchestral music Boogie Boogie
My brother and I share a lot of interests as well, especially in sports, though we follow rival teams in football Evil Evil And I have got him to watch a lot of shows / animes / books the same as me.

hmmm when I think about it, I've forced my interests on a lot of my friends too Laughing Laughing Laughing What a corrupting influence I am Surprised Tongue Tongue
