Maybe for LAO of Hong Kong, you may make its own topic, LittleBigHeart.  Maybe with a title: LAO, a Hong Konger Ai-chin Forum.

Yup, LittleBigHeart, though there is no Newbie Area in LAO HK, you may create your own topic in Gossips Area (吹水區) and introduce yourself or just simply say hello.
Most forum rules are based on common sense, but what newbies always do wrong is that suddenly replying tons topics/threads, these are very annoying to other regular members to search the recent topics. As most of video clips deliver only to member with enough "points", this is the very reason newbies carelessly broke this rule. Basically, don't reply more than 5 topics in the same area a day, your points will be reduced and may be banned from speech for 3-14 days.
There is no such rule that putting all similar news or materials in the same topic thread, therefore, you need to adapt this culture. Just before re-opening of the forum, I discussed this problem with our admin, but he said our member's average is just 17-age-old, so young to be managed well. What we (admins and moderators) is to prevent/alleviate extreme activities, our approach is always "wait and see".
I will not comment on other Ai-chin's Chinese forum, particular LPFC. insiders should know what happened. But as we (alex and me both are moderators of LAO, welcome everybody joints LAO. Hong Kong was a British Colony for nearly 90 years and has been an international city these few ten years. Most members can use English, but of course, you may found that some members may integrate "Chinese Grammar" into English and become Chinglish. btw, the language of Hong Kong is a dialect, basically a variant of Mandarin, therefore you still may not understand what we said when using "Google Translator" etc. |

Since you registered, I hv recognized you as the user name is very unique
But for the last few days, I could just guess whether it's you and I am busy with my schoolwork right now too. 
Anyway, hope you could enjoy in LAO.
As what azurejan said, basically we just stop people from sudden great activity.
There are people who registered and replied at once for a great amount of topics and it's really annoying. |
