^ Well, I just think that her fast rock songs are more exciting and carry that I-want-to-stand-up-and-dance-feeling, if you know what I mean . |

Wow!
They are really really really magnificent, awesome!
I really loves them!
yeah i like them too; they're good to listen once in awhile, and they both are great b-side. but it's just lacking the WOW YEAH feeling, or the throw-your-fist-into-the-air feeling XD not sure if you get what i mean! haha!

Ballads are what I most want and love most from her
But for an album, definitely one of the best features is the mix and variety she always gives us So yep ... a couple of crazy fast-paced songs would be very much welcome, but also a couple of catchy tunes and maybe something jazzy too |

And in minor case not only Japanese people, but all people. Yep ... its quite sad, but if you look at the stats page, you can see that the number of new people joining channel-ai is going down every month ... the last three months the number of new users are in the 20's ... thats the lowest its been since the site started
Well, hopefully once she starts releasing a few more songs again, people will start coming back in droves |

My first ever triple quote...
I need to go on record and say that I love every single song that Ai-chin has ever released on a single, b-side of a single (actually, many of these are her best), and album songs that have not been singles... The one song that may be the exception (and by this, I do not mean I "dislike" it) is Coconuts Vacation. At the risk of going on a tangent... She has never performed this song live and I strain to see how she can make this one at least as "alive" as every other song of hers (IMHO).
That song aside, a metaphorically way to say this is... If Ai-chin is driving, I am among the most enthusiastic passengers out there... Choko-sensi is the #1 most enthusiastic, but I hope I am not too far behind.
Now that that's out,
I was watching her LIB 6 Documentary for somewhere between the 17th and 31st time on the way home from work today and went through the same range of emotions that I did each of the previous 16 to 30 times prior. I laughed frequently, choked back a tear here and there (often for a reason I do not even know), got shivers (aka goosebumps, chicken skin, etc). No artist has this affect on me. No artist is even close.
As I was listening to the fans and watching them describe not just how much, but why, they so love Ai-chin, I came to the conclusion once again about how lucky "we" are. One of my earliest posts was somewhat on this topic in the Ai-chin chat rooms.. Actually, I was such a novice at these things that I posted it in the Ai-chin News forum only to have a gracious moderator copy it and send it to me by PM suggesting that I post it in the appropriate Ai-chin chat room.
In that, I said that I found Ai-chin by accident. This is very much true. I have learned quite a bit more about her since then, thanks in large part to CH-Ai ...
I am pretty sure that Ai-chin will not ever develop the kind of large fan base that will put her on the top of the charts for each things she releases, but I am also damned sure that... how to say it... Ai-chin's songs are, as she says, her precious work that she wants to convey to those of us who are lucky enough (my words) to know her art.
The fans that love her, love her best!
Side note:
The biggest critic I know.. Yuko (aka Mrs Smily in Seattle) can not help to adore Ai-chin... I think she has a kind of soft spot for Osaka girls as many of her best friends are from there, but, she has a tremendous deal of respect for Ai-chin's art and complete personality (but not as much as I ).
TNPIJLMB... they tend to ramble on posts sometimes... |
