Apparently if you see the girl in this image spinning clockwise, you are right side brain dominant, if she spins anti-clockwise, you are left side brain dominant.
Which are you?
Characteristics of Right-Brain People
You take notes but lose them. You may have a hard time keeping track of your research
You might have a hard time making up your mind
You are good with people
You don't fall for practical jokes as easily as some
You seem dreamy, but you're really deep in thought
People may have told you you're psychic
You like to write fiction, draw, or play music
You might be athletic
You like mystery stories
You take time to ponder and you think there are two sides to every story
You may lose track of time
You are spontaneous
You’re fun and witty
You may find it hard to follow verbal directions
You are unpredictable
You get lost
You are emotional
You don't like reading directions
You may listen to music while studying
You read lying down
You may be interested in “the unexplained”
You are philosophical
Characteristics of Left Brain People
You probably work with a To-Do list
You like to be the critic in class
You're good at math or science
You are rational and logical
Your research is precise and well-documented
You set goals for yourself
You can interpret information well
Your room is orderly
You can answer questions spontaneously
You follow directions and you do read directions (unlike some people)
You aren't touchy-feely
You can listen to a long lecture without losing patience
You don’t let feelings get in your way
You like action movies
You read sitting up
Your words are precise
For me, she spinning clockwise ... if I really struggle and look at the picture while my eyes are half closed, I can get her to spin the other way, but as soon as I focus on it she goes back to spinning clockwise
I actually thought I was left side dominant, cause I'm pretty good at maths, and work with computers ... but looking at those two lists, more of the items in the right-side brain fit me than the left site |

It's definitely possible to see her spin anti-clockwise .... I find it very difficult, but if you look at just her feet and think of it spinning the other way, you might be able to see it spinning the other way |

i feel exactly the same way as you, flint. while i didn't know that the left side was more of the scientific/mathematical/logical side, that's the side i would've put myself in if i'd have to choose. but that's almost the only thing that fits me in the left side (except liking action movies, lol), the right hand side really fits me well on most of the things it says.
and wow, i was in the middle of writing how the angle of her makes it hard to picture her going counter-clockwise, while it's still possible. then i covered everything except her outstretched leg and managed to get her spinning CCW... and after a while, seriously, i couldn't make her go back to CW. even after looking at other stuff for a while and going back to it... i had to do the thing with covering up again. now she's back to CW, haha.
i don't know... maybe short people see her going CCW easier since you see her from a angle where you are positioned below her, while when she's going CW you're looking at her from above, slightly. i'm pretty tall, so that's the angle i see most people from and i've gotten used to it (especially lately that i've started hanging out with mostly asian people, lol...). dunno, it's just a thought. |

Ah yeah!
Suddenly when I opened this topic again and looked at the picture, I saw it counter-clockwise!
But it just a couple of seconds, then it back to clockwise again.
EDIT
Now I can see it spins clockwise and counter-clockwise. Sometimes clockwise, sometimes counter-clockwise.
So I have all the characteristics of both right brain and left brain in me? |

well... when i first look at it it goes clockwise.. but i know how to make it go counter clockwise its all in your head... an optical illusion...
flint knows i can i told him how to make it go the oppisite way |

I saw it clockwise at the beginning xD
I think it's more of an optical illusion more than a test for left side and right side brained...since you can make it go clockwise and anticlockwise with your brain |

| ^ i think the way you first see it depends on which of your brain halves is more active or whatever. |

^ I think thats true .... the place where I got it from actually had a comment that if you think about about mathematical equations or problems and then look at it, its more likely to spin anticlockwise, or if you sing a song and look at it its more likely to spin clockwise. |

I see it spin clockwise and anti-clockwise.
I am never the extreme of anything that is probably why I always sit on the fence with a lot of things.
When I do the quizzes I usually get told that I am in the middle
I do lean towards the rights but I have quite a number of left brain characteristics that make lean towards the left on the surface. Online I think I come across more right brain because I am stuck having to express myself by words but in RL people think I lean towards left. Only my close friends can see the right brain characteristics.
Even this quiz says I'm in the middle
Left Brain Dominance: 16(16)
Right Brain Dominance: 15(15) |

^ When I read the left brain characteristics, I thought "Jade is definitely left brained" |
