Born to a Japanese mother and a father of half-Japanese and half-Panamanian descent, as the youngest of four sisters, she was discovered by a fashion scout while at the second year of junior high in Okinawa. She subsequently began modeling, initially modeling exclusively for the popular fashion magazine JJ. While studying at the Okinawa Actors School, she was a member of the school's B.B. Since her debut, she has continued to perform in theater, films and television dramas. In 2007, she received the Newcomer of the Year award at the prestigious 44th Annual Golden Arrow Awards. During the same year she appeared in Fumihiko Sori's CGI anime film Vexille. Kuroki has also appeared with her close friend Maki Horikita on photobooks and a short film: "Kimi no Yubisaki". In 2009, Kuroki was chosen as the Japanese face of international fashion brand Emporio Armani, also appearing in numerous events for the brand worldwide. She also starred in "Dance, Subaru!", which was produced by the noted film producer Bill Kong, and Assault Girls, directed by Mamoru Oshii. In 2010, Kuroki was chosen as the international face of French cosmetic brand L'Oréal.
Kuroki performed on the soundtrack of her 2007 movie Crows Zero, which she had also appeared in. On June 21, 2008, her debut single, "Like This," was released on Sony Music Records. Haha, I was considering making a Meisa thread, but I didn't think anyone else was interested in her Embarassed I like her Meow Despite her being one of the bazillions of singer-actors I don't usually like. Maybe 'cause she's hot as hell Tongue My favorite song of hers is "Bad Girl" or "Shock -Unmei-".

And I can't believe her new single is gonna be called "LOL!" Laughing Laughing .

Laughing me too, I didn't think anyone else at Channel-Ai like her (especially her music)

I listen to her stuff since her debut, though I honestly don't think much of 5-Five ... thought she was improving especially since her second min album had some decent songs ... 5-Five was a step backwards imo

but I like Shock -Unmei- Laughing didn't think anyone else did since so many people say such bad things about it. I just like the music at the start since it is taken from classical music

Yes she was in Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru. Aoi Miyazaki and Tamaki Hiroshi are the main characters, but she played the second female lead ... she had quite a bit of scenes

I like I like Awakening the most but that's because it's a ballad. Never thought she would do a slow song, but glad she tried.

The PV for "LOL!" is out. Smile The verses and the rap-parts are fierce, but the refrain sounds boring. hmm
