| the speical packing that Son_of_Sun got is only for the first press japan version (cd/cd+dvd). if you really like to get the special package, you can try buying it from cdjapan.co.jp. i just checked, and they still have the first press for cd. |

Thanks for the info, Aprilis... I'm just wondering are the packaging the same for both CD and CD+DVD, other than the fact that one has a dvd, and the other doesnt.
*It would be nice, if someone started a new thread showing pictures or scan of all the first press editon packaging and the goodies included in it. I'm hoping to see the 80pg additional booklet for Love Jam.* |

Thanks for the heads up, Aprilis. I just got my package today from YesAsia, and guess what? I bought both CD+DVD and CD only version of Planetarium, but the CD version is NOT first press! I'm usually very excited when I received my order but not this time, I'm so dissapointed, because I mentioned in the ordering comment that I want only the first press.
Anyway, I think I might return that item to YesAsia, I'll see how it goes. I ordered the first press from cdjapan. I don't really like to buy from them because I got charged tax by Canadian customs when they shipped my order last time. |

It sux eyn x.x.. I bought mine off CDJapan since they always point out which first press they have or they don't. And woah.. the first press of the CD+DVD is already sold out? Last time there were 9 copies left when I ordered it myself. And the cd version seems to be selling fast too.. wow Ai is getting more and more popular. |

I think YesAsia might still have CD+DVD in first press since my order comes with CD+DVD first press, but not CD, which I think is more popular among not-so-hardcore fans. So those of you who still haven't bought the single (shame on you ), you can try YesAsia.
Yes, Ai is getting very popular now, and if you wanna get first press you have to be really fast. I am forced to buy from CDJapan this time , I don't like them because of the tax as I mentioned, and they don't have free shipping. |

i usually buy japanese cd and the oversea cd+dvd (for the chinese lyrics). if i was more fluent in japanese, i would have gotten both cd and cd+dvd japan version |

Hello hello!
During the end credits of the PLANETARIUM PV there is a small music box version that is played.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT81km0zHOQ {have a look here}
It plays around the 5:18 {time} part of the clip.
I was wondering if anyone had the file or the ability to make JUST the music box bit an MP3? I love it so much. ;___;
Any help would be great!! |

Ai's Official Site just announced a new product tie-in for one of her most beloved singles!
HOMESTAR Personal Planetarium Projector
Limited Edition Color/Design in Honor of Otsuka Ai's Planetarium
¥24,990 (~ $211 US)
Available: March 31, 2007
HOMESTAR Site (Sega Toys), complete with little video showing the thing in action.
It's smaller than I would've imagined--about the size of a large grapefruit.
I'm kind of surprised that they're doing this tie-in now, four singles after the release of the song...
Do you think Planetarium's huge following is strong enough for these to still sell out this far after the fact...? Is the love/demand still strong? (Enough to over-come the high price tag? )
The Planetarium color is gorgeous, though.
I'd love to have one of these... I *love* gazing at the stars (when I'm not in the light-polluted city), finding the constellations I know and making up new ones. |

Thanks for sharing, zyzzyva!
The moment I read 'HOMESTAR', the first thing that came to mind was the planetarium unit that was released in promotion for BUMP OF CHICKEN's single [planetarium]. (my, my..I wonder if there's a connection? )
I too would simply love to have one of these since my room is literally blank. *sigh*
edit: this isn't really important but I just wanted to add that coincidentally, [planetarium] was also BUMP OF CHICKEN's 10th single |
