They have done this before. Here is a thread from exactly 5 years ago when Avex unloaded these end of year Ai-chin items. The boxes have a few random items, old inventory Avex has and doesn't want to bother selling individually. So they toss the stuff into boxes and unload it to make room for new items. Some boxes may have some of the same things, if they have a lot of towels for example, but they won't all be identical contents which is why I hope to buy 2 boxes. According to the thread this is a common practice in Japan. My only experience with this concept is the very popular Woot.com "bag of random crap" which is the exact same sort of thing. You pay a little money to get a surprise.
Back then some of the boxes had towels, T-shirts, fan, cups, wristbands, flip-flops, keychains and other stuff. There are some pictures of them in that old thread. I'm hoping to get 2 boxes with all different things. I would be pretty disappointed to get 2 boxes of the same stuff. If the items are from 2010 there wouldn't really be any tour items. I am hoping for LiB trinkets or Love-chan items but being old inventory it could be anything, even really old stuff. |

¥11,000 5 years ago, become ¥3,000 now. 
We will not hoping much of nice goods as 2006's, but still hope to get some worthy goods.  |

The cost of the 2006 box was ¥4000. The value of the contents you actually received was supposed to be approximately ¥11000. It is a big discount from the original prices of the goods but of course you didn't get to choose.
Today if the box is ¥3000 then the value of goods inside may be ¥8000-¥9000. Or because Ai-chin now isn't as popular as she was in late 2006 it could certainly still be that same ¥11000 value inside.
I just tried the 2006 store link and it STILL WORKED. The 5 year old ad is still present at the mumo store. Cool.
You can see in that very old ad that the value is 11000 but you get "special price" which was the 4000. The price was valid from Dec 26 to Jan 10 to clear the old inventory and make room for the new 2007 goods arriving. |

Oh sorry, I didn't read them carefully. 
I wonder what kind of goods still present at mu-mo warehouse by now. All t-shirts (and other goods) on YesAsia are sold out.
Ah yeah, talking about t-shirts, they are made in China and printed in Japan, which is why Hong Kong based YesAsia able to sell them.
But why CDJapan never sell t-shirts? Maybe because mu-mo have the only right to sell t-shirts for Japan market?
By the way, I think this Ai-chin 2012 HAPPY BOX news should be placed in a new topic.  |

There is probably a bit of everything. Think if you have only a few dozen of each item, there is no point in a store listing them for sale. It ultimately costs more to bring in the shipment and list it for sale that there is profit. These are merely spare items. Perhaps a few dozen towels, few dozen shirts, few dozen keychains and so on. A store like Yesasia isn't going to bring in 10 shirts or 30 keychains to sell nor will Avex bother creating a section of their own mumo store to list these old miscellaneous items. They simply want to be rid of them quickly so they can list their 2012 items.
I think you are right about mumo store exclusivity. Avex wants to be exclusive seller in Japan so they can charge what they want and keep all of the profits. When another store sells Avex doesn't get nearly the same amount of money. There are many people in the middle, shipping people, wholesalers and distributors and the retailer.
As for a new topic, with so few people participating in the forums recently, we could probably have everything here or in Mumble  It's always a 2 or 3 person conversation. |

i agree with chokokokoa about this latest Happy Box having its own topic. the number of participants in the forum should not be the determining factor. this topic's purpose was to report on random appearances of Ai in the media but has now also commented on digital rankings and merchandise as well. 
and now that some people are buying these Happy Boxes there is certain to be more comments about them as they are received. i cannot split a topic, so it would be helpful if the next person to comment on them did so in a new topic (with a link back to here). |

According to Sheila, they're both still in love ^^! I notice Ai-chan rarely appears in public, even in blog, it's very rare, unlike SU =) But u can see her holding the baby on the first pic (well, just her hands lol)
They both came to explain,and tell to her some advices, and gave her some presents =) |
