EDIT : I translated the 1st part, and here are the most important information we can get from this :
- She really managed her career, and she could be kinda narrow-minded with her time when she really had something in mind. She decided which single she wanted to release, and which tie-up would be the best for the single.
- From LOVE COOK, she started to add more live instrumental music, but this is something she didn't want to do before. That's why LOVE PUNCH and LOVE JAM has this "toy sound" feeling since most of the songs were supposed to be basic, and there was no big difference between pre-production and the finale version.
- Her team working with her now is completely different from the one she worked before, except for one manager, which is not really working with her anymore though. They are younger than her, and they all try her best.
- Thanks to the experience she had with the band Rabbit, she really enjoyed working with other people. And she was looking for a new collaboration until she met Abe from Studio Apartment. They worked together for 2 years on this album. He sent to her 1min-long track, and she added her lyrics and something fixed melody, and then sent it back to him. They did it so many times, she wasn't sure how the album would sound like, but she's really satisfied.
- Since her debut, she really likes tricking, and make jokes. That's also how she composed some of her songs, using crazy melodies and lyrics (PON PON, Mousou Chop etc... ?). She found funny people still like it though.

Well, I'm just glad she's still making awesome music. Giggle

Thanks for the translations! Smile

She's not as relevant as she used to be but she sounds really happy and content with her life right now. As a fan, that makes me very happy.
I'm sure she doesn't even need to worry about sales anymore because of her past hits and her crazy amount of royalties (I mean, she basically composed + wrote her entire discography).

As long as she feels free and loves what she's doing, that's the most important Smile

One more thing, I thought she was out of the iTunes J-pop Top, but actually they decided to put the album in the Electro category (it was before in the J-pop one) lol... It was still ranking the whole time !

LOVE TRiCKY is out in most shops in Japan, so everyone can get their copies. Fanclub members already received it too.
What can we say for now ? Shipment is really low, as expected. I'm not sure if it's even lower than her previous album LOVE FANTASTIC, but I wouldn't say it's more consistent. First press are getting sold out everwhere.
It's slightly doing better in digital than LF, but it doesn't mean it's gonna sell better. Pre-order rankings are still doing very poorly...
I except something around 2 to 3k for the 1st week. Not more, and it would be surprised if it is. This is a whole new Ai in term of music and image. For her hardcore fans, some of them might not like it. But it's also a good opportunity for her to get a new fanbase as well ! It's the transition album... Let's see the chartrun Smile

Last Pre-order day 4/21 :
Amazon : #125
iTunes JP : #2
iTunes Taiwan J-POP : #4
iTunes HK J-POP : #9
YouTube : 144k (+3k)

^ I thought it was released in iTunes rather than leaked haha.

After listening to it I have to say that there is nothing new from the previews we heard. There is no interesting bridges or contrast between sections...We could as well edit the previews to make them longer and wouldn't make much difference...
That being said, I think the songs I like the most are "Laugh" and "I'm lonely".
"Shooting Star" is also good. I'm disappointed with "Time Machine" and "Parallel World"

Honestly, I expected it to be lower so... yay? Laughing

I really like the album. Smile It's not my favorite release from Ai-chan but I'm starting to like this new sound. My favorite songs on the album are summer lovely days, Parallel World, reaching for the moon, end and and, and affair.

I have to agree with Rodri though, the structure of the songs is way too basic sometimes.
Also, none of the lyrics really stood out to me so far which is sad because her lyrics are one of the reasons why I fell in love with Ai-chan's music in the first place... Sad

Chartrun :
14 - 42 - 34 - //

At least, the album is doing better on iTunes and Recochoku ! Too bad, we can't get digital sales as well for the album...
I still think this is the transition album, and sh might do a similar album in term of sound for the next one. She really enjoyed doing it.

I kinda enjoy it the sound of it. Don't really like "Time Machine", but except this one, the other tracks are pretty good.
"reach for the time" and "laugh" are my favorite one !

Is there a chance that anyone who speaks Japanese can translate some of the songs? I'm still just a beginner and the only songs I could figure out were Time Machine and end and and... Laughing
