Hey if anyone wants to hear a preview of Utada's new song "Prisoner of Love" you can check out this youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmbzWsiNq1g
I'm really digging the song, not to mention that this has tweaked my interest in the drama for Last Friends. Sides Nagasawa Masami, Ueno Juri, Nishikido Ryo and Eita are in it. There's also some other people making this cast list remind me of the one in Nodame Cantabile.
Tempted to pick up the single. |

Oh, and after obsessing over EXODUS forever, I finally see the whole Hotel Lobby / Kiss&Cry thing. They really do have that part the same.
Which leads me to what I'm noticing now...there's a part in Prisoner of Love that sounds like a part of Wonder Bout...
What do you guys think?
At first, I didn't really notice Prisoner of Love because I was too busy flipping about the other tracks I'm in love with, but after reading these I gave it another listen and I really like it actually.
Oh also, is Take 5 supposed to just cut off at the end like that? Or was the file I got like, damaged or something? 'Cause it just cuts off rather abruptly...the first time I was listening through the album, and it cut off, I actually looked down to see if my headphones had unplugged or something...it shocks me every time and actually irritates me a little because I really like that song and it makes me mad when it cuts off I might just like edit the track and make it fade out myself or something... |

| ^ Yeah, Take 5 is supposed to end like that. Weird, huh? It's supposed to signify how abruptly life can end or something, I heard. Some fans have tweaked the song to give it a smoother end, but for some reason I never bothered to download one of those. |

KerushiiAi I had never noticed the Hotel Lobby and Kiss & Cry connection up until about 2 months ago. When I first bought Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry single I read everyone talking about the Hotel Lobby connection but I myself never noticed it. But whenever I hear it now, I can see the similarity. I'll have to relisten to Wonder'bout to see if there's a part that sounds like Prisoner of Love.
Take 5 was really surprising the way it cut off, I really like the song too So whenever I hear it I'm always like What happen!! and then Boku wa Kuma comes on I read someone's interpretation @ JPM on why it abruptly changes like that was because they felt like as in how the name of the album is Heart Station having to do with "radio waves" to ones heart, it's a play on words, as in Take 5 is on and then all of a sudden it's like a switch to another radio station {One that plays childrens songs} Then Boku wa Kuma comes on. I don't remember who on JPM exactly said that but it was interesting none the less. |

| ^ LOL me too! There was a sale on at HMV for dvds so I was just wandering around the store. Then I see this girl with the cd. At first I thought she got it somewhere else (it's rare that HMV would sell J-pop, though they did sell Exodus when it came out) but it had the HMV price tag. Eventually I asked her where it was because I didn't know where they would put it XD |

Hmmm...yeah I might tweak it myself 'Cuz when I'm listening to it and it just cuts off like that sometimes it makes me look down because I think my headphones unplugged or something But I've listened to it enough times that I know when it's about to cut off now so I dunno... |

I think HEART STATION isn't as good as Deep River or Ultra Blue for example
I can't listen to "boku wa kuma" it makes me want to go cray... (not in a good way)
Her older albums were catchier in my opinion |

Heart Station is selling very well. It's up to 841,916. I wonder if it will pass up Ultra Blue. I thought both were really good. Though I have to admit I like Heart Station more despite the popular opinion |

| I liked Ultra Blue more than Heart Station, but then I haven't really listened to Heart Station really thoroughly yet. But it didn't have songs that really stood out to me, like This is Love, Passion, and Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro. |

I love HEART STATION
Ultra Blue was good when I got it but I've grown bored with it now.
Deep River was fun for awhile but the only song I still like to listen to regularly from it is Letters
I dunno. I kinda have a short attention span.
And I tend to keep songs I like on repeat for a while and then I get sick of them |

Hmm...the only thing I know so far is that one of the songs a junk title of "Apple & Cinnamon" and that she was working with Stargate, a producer duo who often produce Billboard hits.
I think Stargate tends to be a bit formulaic, but I'm guessing Hikki will throw in her own style so everything is good to go. Otherwise, there really isn't much info on this English album. |
